    • Good Vanity but flawed
This vanity is very nice. Sturdy, easy to assemble, made of real wood, and arrived in time. My only complaint is that one of the legs was flawed by being drilled twice for the lower support board but only needed one slot. Other than that it was a great gift for my wife after I got it all finished.

This is an absolutely awesome piece of furniture. Of all the furniture I've ever assembled it was the easiest. The top is already assembled in the box. It's mostly just about putting the legs and the supports on. This and the bench took me all off about 40 minutes to assemble and that was only because I put one leg on wrong and had to correct that before I could put the other one on and add the support rail. I've had no problems with the hinge on the mirror. I did note that to use the mirror and have it stand up right you have to give the hinge room to work. This vanity cannot be directly up against a wall or you can't open the mirror correctly. You need about 2" clearance. I don't particularly like the open part in the front under the edge. I'm going to put something there a decoration or something to hide that. I actually took out the dividers that came with it for the middle to put in a wood divider with more sections. I wish you could configure the internal dividers any way you liked without taking them out but I guess standardizing them was probably the logical thing to do for the manufacturer. It's not hard to do yourself though with some wood from the craft store. I had a wood organizer that matched so I just used that, but I could have just as easily cut some molding or some craft wood and used that. It's a good space inside, adaptable. I love this thing. I am going to redo mine a bit, paint the drawers and add some wooden floral decorations. I have already added glass knobs. This vanity is very versatile. You could customize it any number of ways. It's sturdy to the point of being a bit heavy. I can see myself using this for years to come quite happily. This and the bench were my first acquisitions from IC. I've also just bought a desk that I fell in love with though I haven't put that together as yet. These will not be the last. If this is any example of the quality of furniture they make I will want more. I am very pleased.... ... show more

WOW. Just amazing. Solid hard rubberwood on Amazon. It's gorgeous and so easy to assemble you just attach the legs. The wood is unfinished however so you do have to do something to protect it. I finished it with Minwax satin finish poly-acrylic stain. It's water clean up one coat. It gave it a clear coat so the wood shone through and it was dry overnight. I love the removable tray in the middle and the lined drawers. The height is perfect for my wheelchair to roll right under. The mirror is a little low but I don't use it anyway. It has a hole in the interior for a cord if you want to use it as a desk instead so you can keep a laptop or what have you inside. Great piece of furniture. I liked it so much I look up the company and I plan to order more things from them in the future. UPDATE: I've had this for over a year now and I just wanted to say. I still love it. It's held up beautifully. For that matter I think it has aged well. I use it as a vanity , it holds my cosmetics perfectly. I did go to Whitewood Industries and I bought a table for my living room. Their products are incredible. This isn't your typical online furniture. I can see myself owning this for many years. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Exactly what I wanted and I love the natural wood but you can do anything from paint to stain to simply swapping out knobs. Love!

    • Solid piece but flip top mirror is not practically functional
While it is a very solid piece of furniture that requires minimal construction out of the box, you have to still keep in consideration that this is an unfinished piece that does not come with a seat while you're comparing it to other vanity sets out there. That, and I have read other reviews on this site where others complain about the mirror latch system. My problem is that if I lift it up, it will stay up but only at a 45 degree angle (making the mirror look down) unless I put the desk at least 3 inches from the wall, then push the elbow of the latch in to lock it, making a loud noise. Then I have push it back out with some difficulty til I hear a loud POP and I can lower the mirror. What is a shame is that this has been well designed to avoid the mirror slamming shut, but that's moot if I can't get the mirror all the way up. Looks like this is the standard manufacturing, not necessarily an exception. bummer. It's too big and bulky to really send back, and I can't find any information or any customer service contact to see if I can't get any help or a replacement part at least. Hopefully you are ordering this at a lower price than the $181 I found it for after watching the listing for a while. I'm seeing this for more a lot of other places. ... show more
