  • Don't order down a size!
Size: 12 Color: Black/Gum
First thing I would advise against is ordering down a size, like what a lot of people like to advise doing on Amazon. If you want to wear these without socks, order your size. If you want to wear socks, go up. Inov-8 run small. I ordered 12s and they just fit without socks. Now we got that out of the way, let's chat about the shoes themselves. They're super light. They're also surprising grippy, and warmer than I expected. I wouldn't wear them to shovel the driveway, and they do breathe, but I was surprised that my feet haven't really gotten cold wearing them, despite it being January and February I've been wearing them. They do take some getting used to. Hard surfaces aren't as fun as soft ones. I wore them for a 6hr shift at my part time job just to see if it's doable, and it is, but it wasn't luxurious, standing on concrete. Also, I wouldn't go running on hard surfaces with these. That's me, though. These really don't offer support, or loads of protection, and they aren't supposed to. But once I got used to wearing them, it took about a week, I really enjoy wearing them. They're an awesome gym shoe, and I'd recommend them to someone looking to get I to minimalist shoes. ... show more

  • Pull the trigger!
Size: 9 Color: Navy/Gum
So I have a hard time finding shoes, I’ve tired Nike, Addias, Altras, Brooks Sauconys etc. they all caused my feet to cramp after running or going to the gym. I had previous used the vibram 5 finger shoes which I felt really good on my feet but were not ideal for lateral movement. These inov-8 are already my favorite shoes I have owned in years they are surprising good laterally and they are thin soled but not to the point where it hurts all day. I have recommended them to a bunch of my friends if you’re thinking about it just buy them ... show more

  • Great for powerlifting
I have had these shoes for quite some time now. I use them primarily for deadlifting and squatting. They fit exactly as I need them to after using their sizing chart. My feet do not slip at all even when going heavy. These are a massive step up from the converse I lifted in during college and I highly recommend them. - James ... show more

  • Perfect for the gym
It grabs pretty good on the floor, I am doing floor gymnastics exercises with the. However, for people who wear wide shoes like me, ithis show might not be very comfortable. I should had ordered half number larger in order to compensate for the narrow design. If they hold for four months, I might order another pair in a larger size; I am 8, ordered 8.5, and my toes are rubbing the front of the shoe. ... show more

  • Best for powerlifting
Size: 11.5 Color: Red/Black
These shoes are great for lifting. They're basically slippers with laces. Very thin sole to get you good and close to the ground for deadlifts. The outsole is very grippy which helps a lot with leg drive while benching. I've had them for about 11 months. I wouldn't recommend them for CrossFit or running though unless you're one of those barefoot is always better folks. The outsole bends with your foot so it doesn't make for a very stable base doing dynamic movements. But it does provide just enough protection that you're not going to accidentally stub your toe on every random piece of equipment or stray plate. I don't think they would hold up well outdoors. ... show more

  • My second pair
Size: 10 Color: Black/Gum
This is my second pair after having my first pair of Inov8 barefoot shoes for 4 years. They are still perfectly usable, but starting to show some wear. Any athletic shoe that can last more than a year is worth it, 4 years is insane. These shoes are the best for squats if you don’t have ankle mobility issues. They are not great for running as they dont have shock absorption, unless you know how to properly run barefooted (by not heel striking). I think lifting barefoot or in shoes like this will make you stronger overall by building foot stability and allowing you to push more weight by making better contact with the ground and not having to push through the cushion of running shoes. May take some getting used to if you arent used to zero drop shoes, like converse. I will never lift in anything else though. ... show more

  • They are ok
Size: 10.5 Color: Grey/Black/Orange
I really wanted to love these. And they were great at first, but they are very narrow. My toes started to hurt, and when I looked at my feet, I realized they started to push my toes together. So I stopped wearing them and went to xero shoes which have a wider toe box
