These discs offer great value for the money, especially if you can catch them on sale. The quality seems to be good, and I have been happy with their performance when I play. I also like the colors and designs of the discs that I received, but that may not be the case for everyone as you don't get to choose the colors. High school brings new opportunities, and after his first week of school my son joined a disc golf class out of the blue using the school’s loaner discs. He loved it and to be supportive I wanted to get him a set *now*. God bless Amazon Prime. These are perfect. He still uses the original (reusable, corrugated cardboard) packaging to store them in his backpack between classes, they are official enough to pass for “legit” (meaning they don’t scream “mock me, I’m a starter set my mom bought!”), and they are sturdy as heck. Note: do not call them frisbees. They are so heavy duty they could be mistaken for chew toys for very large dogs. Or, you know, sports equipment for teenagers. ... show more

Read all the reviews and got just what I expected. No problems with the discs as delivered, NOT USED as some adverse reviews commented. Weight were right on the mark in agreement with my own kitchen scale. As a beginner, like me, you will not get these discs to fly 100 or 200 yards -- that only comes with practice, practice, practice and good technique and better discs. Start with these, everything i have read says you won't be able to toss better discs at the start. I am a former athlete, but older now and arm strength is not what I had when I played baseball. Just starting out, two weeks in, about 5 days throwing, I can only manage about 50 yards (sometimes the putter goes as far as the other discs), and I think I could never get to 100 yards with these, no way. But that may be more me than the discs. If you can get close to 100 yards with the driver and mid-range with this set on most all your shots, you probably are ready to buy better discs. I am very satisfied with this purchase (got 2 sets) -- as advertised and per all good reviews and came quickly. ... show more

From total beginner, after 4-5 rounds, and similar amount of practice, here is where I stand on these: I am over a dozen discs now (combined for me and my 16 year old son), and Leopard is my favorite and most consistent driver for sure. I liked Shark as a mid range, and was disappointed when I lost it in the woods. Aviar is okay for a putter, but when I get close - time to go for the chains - I easily prefer my heavier Judge, as Aviar is lighter and more prone to going off target. For now I will still use it for practice, and maybe for some longer putts - so far I think I may be better with it for landing putts over 50 feet close to the basket for a two putt. These are cheap discs, and as beginners we are abusing them, so plenty of nicks, but holding up okay considering the price and how many trees we hit. Hate that you can’t pick your colors, but sadly, that seems true with most discs on Amazon. Amazon, and manufacturers - FIX this for us!!! I really want all bright colors - easy to find! ... show more

If you want to take up disc golf this started set is HIGHLY recommended before you go pay a lot of money for discs you won't be able to throw. The numbers on disc have a purpose and you need to research it and then go throw these before going to buy more expensive and less forgiving discs. They are not as durable as other higher end plastics but you can get plenty of rounds out of them. Over time, the ware and tear will make the disc fly differently but that doesn't mean they are useless. By the way, I bought these. A week later I went to Sporting Goods Store and bought 4 more drivers because I thought after a week I was knoelageble enough. I WAS NOT. I paid 25 dollars for a driver that I cannot and will probably never be able to throw so my review is my cautionary tale. This set is PERFECT for beginners and the Leopard Driver is still one of my two go to drivers. ... show more
