I bought this boat primarily because I needed a light weight boat. I was very impressed with this boat because of the reasonable quality, and the really low price. Usually a boat like this will cost you around $1700. I bought this to replace a similar boat from Zodiac. I can see where Heyboard cut some corners to keep the price down. I would have preferred to have spent $75 more and have fewer shortcuts. 1. The manual talks about towing using the two D-Rings under the bow. This is kind of standard for this type and size of boat. However, they have been replaced with a single D-Ring in the center. 2. The motor mount area of the transom is all plastic, rather than having a metal plate. I'm not sure if my security cable for my outboard, passing through the plastic loop, will be strong enough to withstand a strong thief. 3. The manual talks about having a slide switch for the water drain. What come with the boat is a plug on the outside that you have to reach overboard and remove to let the water out and then replace when done. 4. I wish the mounting for the front seat extended farther toward the bow to position the seat farther forward. Things I really like: 1. There are two seats. My Zodiac only had one. 2. There are three main air chambers. My Zodiac had only two. 3. The mount that holds the oars in place when not in use is much more secure than the ones on the Zodiac. ... show more

We bought this for our weekend cabin trips and it’s been awesome. Fits two adults and a child comfortably. My 10-year-old even helped me pump it up, very user-friendly. Would recommend for casual lake fun or short fishing trips.
