I bought this to add to my Craftsman stack. Craftsman no longer makes the blue tool chests, they are only available in glaring red. These red ones are not only more expensive than the Workington, but the color did not appeal to me. The Workington arrived double-packed. The chest was packaged with polystyrene foam protecting the corners and top. This box was in turned placed within another close-fitting box. As a result the chest arrived in perfect condition. The top has a non-slip rubber mat which protects it from scratches. Each drawer has a foam liner which is about 3/32 of an inch thick. The chest comes with white cardboard strips and matching clear strips which fit into slots on the drawer handles. This allows you to create labels for the drawers. The ball bearing drawer slides operate smoothly even with loaded drawers. As the image shows, the Workington fits my Craftsman stack perfectly (aside from the color difference). Pros: Appears to be of better quality build than the Craftsman. Includes a non-slip top rubber mat, foam drawer liners and label materials. Fits Craftsman stack. Less expensive than Craftsman Cons: Color is not a closer match to the Craftsman blue.

Packaging was excellent, box within a box. No damage to packaging but tool box had minor dent which I fixed with a rubber mallet. So, it was packaged at the factory with that dent. It's OK now, I'm a body shop man and you can't tell now that there was a dent. Flawless decent paint, no scratches, clean inside and outside. Drawers work well and the slides are greased. Decent drawer lock works smooth. I really like the side handles. The dimentions are a little different then my 42 year old HUOT Intermediate box (its flat on top), so it over hangs about 1/2 inch in the back and one side. I can live with it, its fine.

I'm really happy with this product. For starters, it arrived well-packaged: double boxed and plenty of foam, so no chance of any dents or damage. As the headline reads, I added it to my Craftsman stack. I needed just one more set of drawers and this is perfect. Love that it comes with the liners and top pad already installed. I had to fit it under my Craftsman mid-level drawer as it wouldn't fit on top; the bottom is just a bit wider than the flanges on the top of the Craftsman. I suppose I could have bent them if needed but this works just as well. Drawers slide nice and smooth and stay closed. Another nice touch is that it comes with a paper strip and plastic front strip for the front drawer lip for labeling. Overall a great value and highly recommended!

Ok...its not in league with Snap-On or Mac Tools, but better than my Craftsmen. Very carefully packaged. Arrived earlier than expected. Better than expected quality. One odd thing....nowhere on the chest nor the box it came in can the name " Workington" be found. Theres no name badge, decal, nothing. The. electric blue paint job is perfecrt. Drawers slide smooth. Locking system is average. Not a " high security " rig. After a few months the lock mechanism just stopped working. Key no longer turns. luckily I dont need to lock it.

Shipping box and all packaging was in excellent condition, but the tool box was destroyed. Multiple areas of damage, dents, bent metal, broken welds. This damage did not occur from a simple drop during shipping. The box was wrecked BEFORE it was packed.

I needed this intermediate case to hopefully match an older Husky set. I knew there are some parts that wouldn't match but I was mostly concerned about the fit and color. No problems with both of those. I do like the removable label strips and that there's a flat part to put on additional labels. See photo. Build quality is darn good. I'd recommend it to a heavier use hobbiest.
