Since cats are not naturally drawn to water, we have made these a high-moisture, low calorie cat treat that your kitties will love. They contain 91% moisture and have only 6 calories per tube. That's a tenth of the calories of traditional dry cat treats and more than 1000 times the moisture (8% vs. 91% moisture). In addition, we've also added Taurine to help with their vision, digestions and heart health, as well as, Vitamin E for immunity and Green Tea Extract for its natural antioxidants. My senior cat devoured dental caries and resorptive lesions, as he never took kindly to having his teeth brushed. Sadly, we could not get him sedation or general anesthesia for dental cleanings, because he was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, at a year old. He would have passed. under anesthesia. When his teeth got bad, he couldn’t eat most foods! Churu gave him 4 1/2 years longer than he would have had, because he didn’t have to chew it, We did feed baby food and other things, but his caloric intake would not have been enough without Churu, which was his favorite. Even his last months were happy, because he could always eat. 5 months after he passed, at 19 1/2 (twice his life expectancy, with his disease), we adopted a cat who turned out to have terrible food allergies., He had a patchy coat and dermatitis sore’s because his old owner didn’t know he was allergic. Our vet said he had to have grain free treats with no milk, cheese. chicken or beef. Our other young cat could have treats and he could not have any. I looked up Churu’s ingredients and was happy to find they are grain free and the tuna and seafood (except Tuna & Cheese) are all safe treats for him! We just give the Tuna & Cheese packets to our female. Same with the multi-packs with chicken. Now they can enjoy treats together, and they both love them! Now, he doesn’t get into her treats and get rashes or diarrhea, because he has his own. When I ask if they want a Churu, they both come running. He is perfectly happy and healthy. He had a bacterial stomach infection when we got him and all he could eat was Churu, until his antibiotics kicked in, besides baby food or unsalted tuna broth, due to dehydration. My senior was dehydrated at the end of his life and he also ate Churu then, as it is moist and does not need chewing. I feel better about feeding my healthy cat Churu, too! ... show more

For my cat, who is not a big water drinker, I dip her in this churu. I mix one churu with 30 ml of water and she gulps it down in no time. It's a great way to treat her and get her to drink water. She's so cute chasing me around and pulling at my hand to get some churu that I ordered a second box.

Churu is the only treat my cat adores, and it is perfect for giving him medication that he hates. So after treating him with a few drops of churu, I give him his pain medicine which is extremely bitter in taste. Then after giving him water with a dropper, its his treat time. The package mentions calories of 6K which makes me wonder if each small pouch has 6000 calories, as that would be a lot. For that reason, I refrain from giving him whole sachet in one go.
