    • surprised me in a good way
So I consider myself a newbie when it comes to the bible and always feel a bit intimidated opening these types of books. But something about this Geneva Bible felt different. The illustrations, maps, annotations made it easier for me to immerse myself in this body of work that has so much historical significance. I can see why this body of work is treasured by so many including collectors, academics and the layperson. Even though I haven't explored them yet, The Books of Enoch are a nice bonus. It is a fine exemplar, beautifully edited and compiled. The only reason I am giving only 4 stars instead of 5 is because the writings explaining the illustration are hard to read (maybe due to the bold font).
