  • Great Film!
This was the first time I had ever shot anything on film. To make matters more difficult, I was using a 70-year-old Kodak Tourist II film camera. I had to re-spool this 120 film onto a 620 roll to fit in the old camera. I did my calculations and took my time. Despite a few technical shortcomings, the film held firm and was adaptable. I ultimately got some great shots (three of which I have posted above). Highly recommended :) ... show more

  • Fantastic black-and-white film
This is a very long time favourite film with mine both for medium format and 35 mm shooting. It’s quite extraordinary because it is processed in C 41 chemicals, not typical for black-and-white film. Has a great range of ISO it can be shot at, and it always produces beautiful results.

  • and the results are beautiful - sharp
Was initially not sure about it - the first roll came out looking a little soft, but I read about this film and its character - it does not handle underexposure well. And indeed, my first roll was bit underexposed. Now that I know this, I am trying not to underexpose, and the results are beautiful - sharp, clear and contrasty. I read somewhere that this film is not so grainy in the highlights (contrary to other BW film), and in my experience that seems to be true. It was described as a great "days of summer" film where there are large areas of sky, water etc.) and I agree. I love it. ... show more

  • Great Film
This is a great film and give good grain and great contrast, however, tread carefully if you plan on using this with your Holga. Holga's light leaks and relative slowness of the shutter ( usually add a great surprise when the film comes back from developing) may get you t really washed out/blurry pictures like I did - not a big deal, it's just for fun - but be warned. I did use about half of this roll at sunset and night and the 8 or so I got then came out great. ... show more

  • Lovely Film! Unique tonality.
Great tonality! It's definitely different from traditional black and white films. It has a wide exposure latitude but, like color C-41 films, handles overexposure well. I use this film a lot for B&W landscapes because it shows so little grain and I also like that I can scan it while using digital ICE to get ride of dust spots and other imperfections. Great film! ... show more

  • Expired Film
Purchased a roll to go with vintage camera (gift for my son.) Film arrived and it had expired. Asked for 2nd roll to replace 1st expired roll. Second roll just arrived with expiration date even worse than the first! Now I need to return 2 rolls! This is ridiculous! Will buy elsewhere.

  • Ilford film is great, but this film is 6 months expired
Ilford makes excellent film, and though I read some reviews that people received expired film, I took a chance that I wouldn't be among those. Well, the film box I received was opened on both ends, and though the foil pouch within seems unopened, the film is 6 months expired. From now on I'll be purchasing my film from a reputable source. ... show more
