  • Good Zink paper that worked well in my camera.
I have a Polaroid Socialmatic camera and I had run out of paper. After taking a lot of photos at Christmas and at parties I found out that when you print out a photo everyone wants the copy of their favorite pictures and you don't get to keep them. I had an upcoming birthday party to go to for my grandson and I wanted to take photos of his party to give to him so I ordered more paper. I allowed almost 3 weeks for delivery to make sure that I got the paper. After the order was placed I found out that the shipment would take 4 to 7 weeks and I was upset. I was still being optimistic that they would arrive early as I was told they shipped them on Christmas. After the birthday party date had passed I called Amazon and told them to cancel the order. The supplier told me that they were already shipped and the cancelled the invoice but told me to keep the Zink paper when it arrived. I promised a review of the papers and so here it is. This paper makes surprisingly good photos. The color is very good and the photos are clear. The camera makes these photos with Zero Ink thus the name is Zink. In my attached video I show the package, how the paper is delivered in 10 packs and how to load them into the camera. Make sure that you leave the barcode sheet on the bottom of the stack with the barcode facing down. Once loaded the camera will scan the barcode and configure the camera to make the best photos. The photos have a removable backing that allows you to stick the them on a wall, bulletin board or onto a collage board of photos. The backing is hard to get started to peel off but just take your time. In my video I show a photo that I want to print and print it out. As you can see the quality of the printed photo is very good. I like this paper a lot and the paper works well in my camera. I now see that my supplier ships the product directly from Amazon and they can ship the product and deliver it in 2 days. I compliment them for making this change. I rate the product at 5 stars as it works as specified and I feel the suppler has done a fair amount of assistance after the long delivery issue. ... show more

  • Terrific for crafting and keepsakes! Terrific for crafting and keepsakes!
A few years ago, I purchased not one but two Polaroid zip mobile printers for both my fiance and myself. We had begun taking a great deal of photos together and both of us have a knack for crafting. The zip Mobile printer when they came with two packs of the Zink paper and we begin to run out. I found a terrific deal on Amazon for a 30 pack. I was so happy to see is product came in a 30 pack for such a great an affordable price. Zink paper is 2 by 3 and perfect for either making collages, for a small picture frames as well as decorating your wallet. The best part is that the back of the Zink paper peels off so your photos turn into stickers! I would highly recommend this product for those who love crafting oh, those who love taking photos, as well as adding some Pizzazz to those school projects or just decorating your favorite space. ... show more

  • Pros and cons with this film.
A strange thing about this film, is some packages (of 10) turn out great, and then the next package all has a strange tint to it.. printing the same picture you printed on a piece from a previous package. The colors are kind of a crap shoot- colors don't come out like they look on the screen, and for sure not as bright. I'm not thrilled with the Polaroid app, I hope there is an alternative out there. Pros: it's a fun printer with a lower per print price than the fuji instamax camara, and also less bulky to carry around. You get to select what you want to print, instead of hoping that the instamax comes out how you want it (I know that is part of the fun of the instant camera). It is small, will fit easily in purse (unlike the fuji camera). Also, the film is stickers!! Gotta love that. Cons: colors are off, not as vibrant as the instant camera. The app is pretty awful, and makes it difficult to figure out what part of your picture is going to print, unless you put it in a frame from the app. Only one person can be connected to the printer at once, so you have to make sure they disconnect via bluetooth, before you connect. So, print quality go for the instant camera, size and versatility, go for the Zink printer. Of do what I did, and get both!! ... show more

  • Debates between instax and zip...
Absolutely fun! Obviously, this is not going to be printing professional photos, it's for fun and quick little pictures. My first picture turned out a little bit darker than the original photo, but it's so cute! There are a few different editing features in the app, so I will have to play around with them. I went back and forth between purchasing the instax and zip, so for the price, and the cheaper paper, I'm very happy with my purchase. It will be so fun to print out little pics to stick in cards or just whenever. The printer itself is a lot smaller than I was anticipating, which is perfect. The pictures are credit card size. The sticker back is fun. I debated for months which one I wanted and am super happy I went with the Polaroid zip. I would recommend it to anyone who is debating between printers. Especially if you are just wanting something fun and small. I didn't want to mess with batteries, and didn't really want to spend 200 on the brand new instax, which has better quality prints, but for almost double the price, the actual size of the pictures, and more expensive paper, I'm very happy with the zip!! ... show more

  • My best gadget ever!
I give this little gadget a 5 star because, for what it IS, it's brilliant. I've been a photographer from childhood and have always loved to photograph people. I've traveled far & wide and have never had any problem cajoling subjects into letting me snap them, from all over Europe to Tunisia, Mongolia, Mexico, Beijing, etc. I have always regretted not being able to give them a photo. To those in the "modern" world, I've managed to forward a print, but now this little thingy just hits the spot! It's "old fashioned" in that it's just a dinky format with not really the digital quality we have come to expect on paper, but people LOVE it, and I've realized this why they love it. As with the old Polaroids, your are feet-on-the-ground among your subjects and in hands-on contact. You have to touch them to give them a photo. My sophisticated niece and her roommates were over the moon when I could give them each a copy right then & there, for example. The best part is you can achieve the digital quality "real" photographers "need" because it is digital, can be downloaded & never lost. It may be the "back up" to my regular gear, but it goes with me everywhere. ... show more

  • So handy! Two things I use this for: So handy! Two things I use this for:
I think zink paper is amazing and affordable. I have to buy it for my Polaroid zip (in red! it's cute). Two things I use my zip/zink paper for: when my friends want a copy of an instant photo I've taken. I'll scan it to my phone, then print them out Polaroid zips on the spot! They love it. (Or I'll let them take the original and make myself a copy later!). I usually bring a few packs of this along to parties, with my Polaroid Zip and my Fujifilm Mini 90 instant camera. The other thing I use it for is when I want to display my instant photos in a sunny place. I don't want to fade the original photo, so I scan it, make a copy on my Polaroid zip, then put the original photo in a safe, dark album! The quality isn't jaw-dropping amazing but it's pretty good! What exactly can you expect from printed iphone pictures/instant photo copies? I love it. 5 stars. ... show more
