  • Rode microphone cable
Works great. Able to use with I phone and 3.5 adapter dongle

  • Allows connection of Rode mic to iphone
Using this cord, I was able to connect my Rode mic to my iphone with the use of a 3.5 to lightning adapter. My primary use is for bird ID through the Merlin app. For anyone looking to use their iphone, this cord will do what the rode cord included with the mic cannot.

  • Had to download some software to make it work
Had to download some software to make it work compatibly, but otherwise was easy to use. Used it with the RODE mic and an iphone.

  • Product description could be clearer
I bought this cable to connect a TRSS external microphone (Deity D3 Pro) to a TRS only camera (Fuji XT-3). It turns out this is only meant for connecting TRS mics to TRSS devices, not the other way around. Needless to say, the microphone does not detect the camera when I plug the TRSS side into the TRSS mic and the TRS side into the TRS camera. I wish the product description and product listing specifically said that connecting a TRSS mic into a TRS device would not work with this. Oh well, I guess I should have read into it more before purchasing. Otherwise, the build quality on this seems decent, and it is the perfect length for connecting an external mic to a camera. I also like the coiled design. Specifically bought this because it has almost the same length and cable design as the Deity D3 Pro mic cable. I have since found an old 3.5mm male to dual 3.5mm female splitter cable that I had lying around that actually works for my Deity D3 Pro and Fuji XT-3. Just plug the original Deity TRSS to TRSS cable into the mic and one of the female 3.5mm slots, then finally connect the 3.5mm male side into the Fuji camera. This solution is about twice the length of this IENZA cable and doesn't have the coiled design, but it works. Not to mention, I'm only using one of the two 3.5mm female slots on the splitter, so I used a cable tie to make it easier to handle. ... show more

  • Does what it should!
Nothing special but no complaints.

  • Worked with my iPhone.
I was able to use this cable to record audio on my iPhone with an external mic. You have to disconnect the connector to hear audio as your phone recognized it as both a speaker and a mic.

  • I purchased this to work with a Rode Videomicro, and it works great.
I needed a TRS to TRRS patch cable that would work with my Rode Videomicro and an iPhone XS Max (with Apple 3.5mm headphone to Lightning adapter). This works great for what I needed it for. And it's much less expensive than the Rode version - and works perfectly fine! Great value and just what you need if you are trying to attach an external microphone to your Smartphone that requires a TRRS plug. You can see the photo of the setup (sans the actual phone). It looks good! ... show more
