  • Great Fit and Quality
Size: 32W x 32L Color: Ranger Green
These combat pants exceeded my expectations. They’re comfortable, fit well, and the material feels durable without restricting movement. The knee pads are a great addition, and the pockets are well designed for carrying gear. Overall, they’re a great value and have held up well. I’d definitely recommend them. ... show more

  • Good quality and value.
The quality appears to be high. The stitching is thick and double stitched where needs to be and no loose threads found. I've only used them a few a few times indoors playing airsoft, but they have held up well. The knee pads work well and stay in place well enough with the velcro straps. The sizing runs small on the waist, so definitely size up. I'm 5'9 190lbs. Normally 36" fits comfortably. The pants fit a little loose, not baggy, but if you are looking for a slimmer fit then you may want to try your normal size. I wouldn't say these are warm as its just one layer of the ripstop fabric, but im in SoCal, so I generally want lighter and more breathable gear. There are nice adjustments in the thigh pocket that allow you move the knee pads up and down to sit in the right place. These work well creating a better fit, but they will take a little space away from those pockets. Overall very satisfied and would recommend. ... show more

  • A descent quality tactical pant at an affordable price!
Size: 32W x 32L Color: Ranger Green
My favorite tactical pant is by VertX, the Recon and this almost rivals it, with a few shortcomings but for a price that’s half as much, it’s worth it. I wish it had a button or something for the waist because it only fastens via Velcro which I know will eventually wear out but if you have a belt it’s not a big deal. Also wish it had a pen holder near the back and the pant legs should have been more relaxed fit instead of tapered otherwise there was no point in the velcro parts to tighten it. The side main pockets are really high, if they were lower, it’d been better. The included knee pads were a great touch and how it’s installed and hidden is great. They’re a little stiff when walking but with breaking in, it’ll be great. Solid amount of pockets overall which I love too. The stitching and overall construction looks to be well made, should last a good amount of time. Overall I’m very impressed with these pants and currently use them for work. ... show more

  • Really impressed with Idogear as a brand
After purchasing a cheaper version of the combat pants with very poor quality, I took a chance on the Idogear after a recommendation from a friend. Wow! Great quality, comfort, and fit. I am 6’0 tall, 185 lbs with a 34 in, waist. I purchased the medium, which fits a little tighter but I like them better than the large which feel a little too big. I am usually right in the middle of med and large with many brands. However, the adjustments in the waist, the Velcro ties at the knees and ankles, and the elastic joints make these very comfortable. I am able the wear them all day playing Airsoft and have used them for many games and events. They hold up very well. Idogear is a great brand and I have been happy with all of my purchase with them. ... show more

  • Great value and fitment
Size: 34W x 32L Color: Ranger Green
I shoot many competitions and find out more and more that knee protection is more than just a novelty. I took a look at the CRYE with their $290 price tag and felt that it was overpriced. Starting looking for some alternatives and found reviews on YT that mentioned IDOgear that performed and held up extremely well for the amount of abuse. We'll I competed in a 2-gun match this past Sunday, and pants work flawlessly. Fitment was as expected, and movement was never limited. Most importantly, the knee pads worked great, especially at the kneeling position on the tower. On top of that, I won the match! LOL, I can't say it had something to do with the pants, but I felt comfortable, allowed easy movement into and out of awkward positions. The pants seem to be mid-tier quality and look like they would last a long time and serve their purpose. For the price of CRYES, you can own like 4 of these, and it should last you a lifetime, lol. ... show more

  • Weird details
The fit is overall good (I'm normally a 36x32), and they're reasonably comfortable. The fabric is stiff, but it's a cotton/poly blend ripstop, so I expect that. Given that these are a $70 knock-off of $400 Crye Precision pants, I'm not expecting perfection. ...But some of the details are just *weird*. Like, the hip pockets; it's placed way too high, and opens nearly parallel to the waist, making it very difficult to get anything in or out of the pocket. The pocket itself is large, but it's a poor placement. The waist isn't a separate band at all, but is cut-on, which is an odd choice since it's more challenging to sew, and creates a few weak points; I'd be on the lookout for failure where the velcro overlaps at the fly. (Note that Crye Precision does the same thing, and I think that it's a bad idea when they do it also. Yes, you get a small amount of additional fabric bulk with a separate waist band, but IMO it's not significant enough to warrant a cut-on waistband.) The gusset in the crotch is supposed to be elastic; that would give the pants more room to flex than traditional fatigues. But the manufacturer apparently doesn't have a source for multicam nylon-lycra fabrics (as seen in the pintucked panels above the knee and below the rear waistband), so they simply omitted the stretch to that panel entirely. The gusset is still present, but it's no longer serving any real purpose that you couldn't get with a cut-on gusset other than moving the seam. If I were manufacturing these, I'd use a coyote tan elastic panel for the gusset if I couldn't get multicam or scorpion OCP. The original version also has nylon lycra around the knee cop--not just above--and they can't do that with pin tucking, which--again--slightly limits mobility. Overall, it's solidly *not bad*. If you're LARPing--which I am (Gun Run, Brutality, 2GAC, etc., not working as a contractor)--then these are a perfectly decent choice. If you're operating in an environment where 1% extra movement in your pants might mean the difference between catching a bullet and not--versus missing a point--I'd suggest going with Crye or Arcteryx instead. If you're doing Airsoft, then these are absolutely going to be fine. ... show more

  • I'd give it six stars if i could
This is wonderful. What I like: So there are "stretchy" bits near your butt and above your knees, and these are what make the comfort 5 stars. When you are crouching, leaning, bending over, running, etc, they give enough stretch to keep the pants from catching on your sweaty body and creating discomfort. Other pants I have issues with my skin slowly catching and tugging at the pants till they slip down on my waistline making it uncomfortable. Even with a tight belt, it would do, but these pants don't. Very large side cargo pockets can easily fit a fit most of the contents of an MRE, mostly...the snacks. Knee straps help to keep the knee pads where i need them so they aren't flopping around. Tough material. I've used them in mud, rain, drought, sharp vegetation, brushing up against buildings, rocks, trees, slide down gravel paths, even caught on nails and screws...not one single tear. What i didn't like: Knee pads that came with the pants are very rigid and sometimes would resist while i tried to take a knee, sometimes moving out of the way, so the knee straps were required. I just swapped them out for other knee pads i had from other pants. Front top and Front thigh pockets were small and a tight space. not able to use them for a lot. If you placed an item in the top front pockets, you can't get them out with gloves on, and depending on the size (like my phone) would squish my fingers trying to pull items out. Up side tho, if you put something in the top pockets...it ain't coming out no matter how much you run, dive, roll, or fall in these pants. Key Take away: Most comfortable pants I own. ... show more
