A Med may have been too tight around the waist, but would have given a slimmer look around the midsection and hips. Hard to explain. TBH - I had to return. I am 5'8" 27.5" waist and a small fit the booty but not the waist it was still too loose. I think that if you are a little fluffier in the waist you would love this skirt. I love this skirt. The fit is perfect a size medium. Size up for a perfect fit. The lining is really nice and feels good next to your skin. I usually wear a size 6. This shirt is good quality and versatile.

Skirt is adorable & warm. It feels like a fleece, not a wool with a liner. I loved the color & feel, however, It didn't look good on me. I am 5'3 and wear a medium. It fit well around the waist, but the length was below the knee. It was also not fully a pencil skirt in the way a pencil skirt looks. It flared out at the hips, but then went straight down/flared out a little more below the hips. Everything was of good quality and functionality.
