  • A good product from what I can tell
Color: Ivory
I've never had a bass so I don't know if this is incredible quality, but I am a guitarist, and I can say that this does what it supposed to do. I did notice that some of the woodwork isn't really refined, but that doesn't matter to me as much

  • Great Value, Sounds Like a Bass
Color: Walnut Flat
Arrived a couple of days early, and unharmed. This is my first Ibanez since my very first electric guitar in the early 80's. It was a piece of garbage. This one...I am surprised at the build quality of this $199 bass. Smaller hands may think the neck is too thick, and it is quite heavy. But it sounds great, looks great, and plays really nice. The action was a bit high right out of the box, but a slight adjustment was easy. I searched YT for the top budget basses before making a choice, and this was always at the top. I am not disappointed. ... show more

  • This is my one and only bass, feels perfect!
Color: Walnut Flat
I did have to set up the neck and string action which I had figure I’d have to do anyway. Some YouTube tutorials helped. Once I did that I was more than capable of brushing up on my bass playing again. I started practicing in a band. It sounds great and feels comfortable in my hands.

  • decent enough
Color: Ivory
A good buy for the price. Had extreme buzzing out of the box, after adjusting neck rod, worked fine. It should have been adjusted at the place of manufacture.

  • Fun and versatile, great value, fragile tone knob, neck dive
Color: Mint Green
I'm new to the bass and still so far have sort of a casual attitude about it compared to the guitar, so there's not much I can say comparing it to anything else or to the expectations of an experienced or serious bassist. But I do very much enjoy this thing. Sounds fine to me, feels fine, looks all right (the teal is not quite as vibrant in person as I imagined but I still like it). Just a couple of construction issues similar to ones I've seen in other reviews. The tone knob (which is two-in-one, an outer ring around an inner knob that each turn independently) has already begun to have the problem with the outer ring, it sort of comes detached and you can feel that it's loose and doesn't take effect, and I have to fiddle with it to get it to reengage with whatever internal part is is supposed to control, but it gives a feeling like doing so might be causing more damage. I'm worried it will soon fail entirely and I'll be stuck with a certain tone. Also, one of the screws holding on the cover for the 9V battery compartment in the back (for the active pickups) was stripped right out of the box. Fortunately the battery fits snugly so I just don't even use the cover. EDIT: Turns out guitars are not supposed to have neck dive. This one does. If I don't support it with my hands while having it hang on me with the strap, the neck dives towards the floor. It has become a problem, I am dealing with carpal tunnel syndrome and the extra muscling I need to perform with my left hand/arm to keep the thing in a playable position is probably part of the problem. ... show more

  • a great buy
Color: Mustard Yellow Flat
i will be blunt: this thing is on the heavy side. not exactly like an ash body, but enough to let you know it's there with you. another thing: i did not realize this instrument has active pickups. give me 3 knobs on a bass without the actives and i'm as happy as a pig in poo. last thing: it's 25 frets, which isn't bad. i'm use to the 3rd octave at the tailpiece to doodle around on. something i first noticed was the sustain. something i had not gotten with cheap basses over the years. i prefer to put flat wound strings on (almost) all of my basses. i was in a Guitar Center or some such a few years ago, picked up a bass with flats on it, and i instantly fell in love with how they felt on my fingers. i like to say flats make my fingers glued/attached to the strings. some rounds have my fingers sliding off when i sweat profusely. flats don't do that. overall, not a bad bass for the price. it sounds and feels nice. ... show more

  • Delivered broken
Color: Mint Green
Purchased this as a gift. Due to Covid we could not get lessons. After (too much time to return) Our Bass instructor said our knob was broken and it affected the electrical. So (after all this time) we have a brand “new” broken Bass. So disappointed.
