I love this shelf! I got it to hold some of my plants. The price was good and assembly was easy. I hated the color. It’s that dull greenish looking gold paint that doesn’t look good in any light or setting. From the pictures, I was expecting this to be more of a bright brass gold finish. In truth it is a matte painted finish and more of a bronze or mustard yellow than what I would consider gold. I got the 6-tier for my daughter's room, to display her larger Lego builds and whatnot. It was taller than I'd pictured, I needed my husband's help with assembly because it was over my head, but once assembled it's not a problem, as it's beside her bed and she can stand on the bed to reach the upper shelves. The design is open on all sided, and it does come with two tether straps (not pictured), to prevent tipping. Considering the height and the fact that this bookcase is made of glass shelves that are not affixed down in any way, we used the tethers. The adjustable feet were also appreciated, as that enabled me to level the shelves so there's no inherent wobble. Overall, she likes her new bookcase. It seems stable, and the shelves are large enough to hold her oversized items like the Eiffel tower nightlight and the rocket ship, as well as her dolls. The open on all sides design helps with the flow of the room, and makes it so that a 7-ft tall bookcase in the center of the wall doesn't feel like it's blocking anything. I'm a little nervous about having a glass bookcase in a child's bedroom, but it doesn't feel flimsy or like it is an accident waiting to happen, so we'll see. The glass shelves do have gripping rubber feet to keep them from sliding around, I would just feel better if they had some kind of rim to actually hold them in place. She's happy with it, though, and that's what really matters. ... show more

The six level gold metal and glass shelf looks so delicate and dainty when all set up, but each level can accommodate a 30 lb. item., meaning the whole thing could actually hold over 150 lbs.! A wall mount support bracket is included to affix the unit to a wall if you plan to adorn it with weighted sculptures, heavy books, etc. (would definitely recommend fastening to the wall if small children or pets frequent the area) Personally, we have ours set up in the corner near a window with small succulents and tiny sentimental figurines on each glass shelf. However, it’s good to know that a hefty planter filled with water could also rest securely on any level. The sunlight reflects off the glass and makes the gold trim sparkle. Depending on how you decorate this glass shelf tower, it can appear more expensive than it is. Works as a casual sunroom plant holder as well as a formal living room accent piece for displaying crystals or decorative vases. Assembled in just under an hour. This 3-tier shelf caught me by surprise because the quality was better than I expected. It took some time to build because the screws were stiff with some holes but ultimately it’s a simple process. It’s quite sturdy and each layer can hold a decent amount of weight. This is a great mini sized bookshelf but I’m using this as a garden shelf. I really like the looks of the shelf it has a gold color that’s not too bright and Gotti and has tempered glass shelves which give me a feeling of security, knowing they won’t break very easily. The only thing you need to worry about is if you move it around, the shelves are not permanently, stuck down so they may move or fall out and possibly break so be careful but other than that this is a really nice shelf that was easy to put together, and seems very sturdy ... show more
