I got the hyperx chat mic with the one earpiece to use with my Xbox x. Apparently only the chat worked and I couldn’t hear the actual in game sounds. After reading some forums it turns out you have to plug in the mic extremely slowly into the controller for it to work properly. After doing so it works but I’m leaving 4 stars because I shouldn’t have to re plug the mic every time I start up my Xbox to hear the in game sound. ... show more

Bought this as a backup for my Turtle Beach headset that recently broke and I have to say for the low price it’s a nice headset. I primarily play FPS on PS5 and XBox 1, and the audio seems to be coming through louder and with more clarity than the Turtle beach unit, but the audio quality is slightly less refined imo. I also like that the ear muffs are a narrower profile and don’t look as goofy on my big head, and I also find that I can hear myself talking more audibly through the headphones which keeps me from talking and yelling more loudly than is necessary (which my teammates appreciate). this headset is amazing if you don’t want to spend a lot of money. it might take a few hours to break in the speakers but after that it sounds perfect. the base itself is comfortable enough to wear for hours.
