It’s a very awesome product in my opinion, it works super well and is bigger than I expected, it plays Super Nintendo and NES cartridges really well, and the controllers feel premium, they also work good.

Update, if you play genesis games be sure to change the switch in the back of the console if you don't then you will get the error I got in the picture above. So after I realized that I really enjoyed the console and it played all my games that I love. Another update I've been playing this console for a few days and today it started clicking when I put in the snes 2nd controller I dont understand why but it plays. I was really excited when I received this cause y old systems is having a hard time playing some of the games. I got this console and hooked it up to the tv and it playes the new games and snes games BUT DID NOT PLAY THE SEGA GENESIS GAME. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED. I had high hopes and then lost all of that when it wouldn't play. I also made sure that I had the knob on Genesis too make sure it plays and the screen said it could only be played on a sega Genesis console only. So I gave this product a 3 star because the console looks to be made well and the controllers are good and feel good in my hand. I just hate it wouldn't play my Genesis game. I will also give credit to the company for adding a power block to lug into the wall for power cause normally when I buy an item I don't receive one. I'm thinking about sending it back since it wouldn't play the game and also the controller for sega was messed up and wouldn't plug into the system my husband got to plug in but he had to force it in so it would plug n to play 2 players. I really like this as feel bad for leaving a bad review when it could have been a 5 star. ... show more

    • Cartridges will not fit easily.
Very difficult to get the cartridges to fit in the console. That's the only complaint I have. All of the games I have 100% work with the console.

    • Good Replacement for OEM Consoles
The system is a bit confusing, but ultimately it does the job. I don't care for the neon pink and turquoise color and would have preferred a standard gray or black for the nostalgic appeal. The system setup was simple with the power and RCA plugs, but I find myself constantly referring to the user manual to figure out what control and plug/adapter to use for each system type (NES/SNES/Genesis). The game slots are also not marked for each type of game, so again I am constantly checking the user manual. The NES and SNES options work great, but I have not tested the Genesis as I don't have any games. Every game I have tested so far works except TMNT on NES. A single universal control with one input as well as an auto switch to discover game type rather than a manual knob would have been simpler...maybe these options are available on the other Retron models. All in all, I am happy with the purchase. ... show more

    • You won’t be disappointed
This is one legit gaming system. I have the originals but they can be touchy at times. This has worked with every game played and can use the old controllers too!

Works great! I love being able to play my old games. The controllers are cheap but I still had my original controller from my game that quit so I’m using that. Would definitely recommend
