I used to use a king ockoff version called thermoflask. The cap essentially rotted away from the amount I was using it and while I was on the hunt for a cap that would be waterproof I found the original here. I use mine to mix some gamersupps (soda/energy drink replacement powder) I've noticed some small leaks from.the top when and ONLY WHEN I am shaking it to mix the powder and water. I can hold this thing upside down without a single drop escaping. It keeps the ice inside nice and cold for over a day. No funky taste from the straw or the cap and they have replacements here on Amazon designed for these bottles so if anything does happen like with my last bottle, I have backups. Tl:Dr Good quality metal with no aftertaste, great for keeping water cold even when mixing in flavor powders. Only a small leak from over aggressively shaking to mix said powder. One thing that gets annoying is the straw will come out, so you’ll have to unscrew the cap and re insert it. Also there is no silicon on the bottom of the bottle so it’s metal. I just grabbed a water bottle from my daughter's cupboard for keeping some cold water with me. I was so happy with the Hydro Flask and how cold it kept my water as it sat in a closed, black, heat-absorbing car for an hour and 97 degrees outside that I knew I had to have one! I even purchased 2! Different sizes for different occasions and to fit in my cup holder. Also, the different accessories that you can get made it the best thing ever! I was having trouble keeping myself hydrated before, but after buying this I'm having the opposite problem. Now I'm drinking so much water that I'm urinating a little too frequently. Now I take this bottle around with me all the time since it's easy to carry. The flip top makes it easy to stay hydrated even as I drive. I've had ice stay in there from when I go to bed to when I wake up 5-6 hours later, so the drink is always refreshing. I like the blue color. But it only keeps my ice water cold for 3 hours. Not the quality i was expecting. Im wanting a bottle to keep water cold for 10-12 hours. Any suggestions?
