The drag straps appear to be very sturdy and well constructed. One side of it has a reflective material on it. From end to end the length is 4ft. This will work well for dragging behind you. I would have liked to have a longer strap though so I could change positions of how I'd hold it while dragging (over the shoulder etc). It is better than rope and the soft handle should be a good change from a rope wrapped around my hand. Hopefully I'll be able to put it to use this season! ... show more

    • Better that A Rope or Grabbing an Antler or Leg When you can't Use a Cart or Sled

The design of this drag seems like it will make it much easier to drag a deer out of the woods when you can't use a cart or sled. Since it's pretty cold where I hunt, my hands get numb, especially after field dressing the deer, so I always look for ways to drag the deer without having to only rely on my grip strength to drag out a deer. Unfortunately, the length isn't long enough to throw over your shoulder without pulling the deer onto the back of your heels. Maybe used in conjunction with an over the should strap, would make it less dependent on cold numb hands. The handles appear big enough to use with a thick winter glover on too. Obviously, the hunter orange is great for safety, but so is the reflective strip for those last-light shots that have you dragging the deer out in the dark. Hopefully your hunting buddy can find you easier in the dark to help with the task, since there is a second strap included. Haven't had a chance to try this yet, and the wife won't let me try dragging the kids around the yard by their ankles. Time will tell if the stitching stands up to the task. ... show more

This drag strap is very basic. Made of orange material with a safety reflective stripe, I believe this strap will get the job done. It has a soft handle to reduce stress on the hand, and appears to be of adequate length. It won't take up much room in a pack, or would even fit easily into a coat pocket. If you are tired of dragging deer with your bare hands, this will definitely make the job easier. And, the fact that you get two for the price makes this a pretty good deal. Sure, you could rig something up that would work, but why bother when you can get two that are already done for a fair price. ... show more

I got these in case I ever needed to pull into your around or out of the woods however I have not used them for that yet. I actually use these on some Landscaping projects and fallen tree limbs and branches. we took out some Thorn bushes which are not very fun to grab so I wrap this around the bushes to track them to the front to dispose of them. also have used this for several large tree branches to pull out to a better spot for me to cut everything up. they held up just fine on the bushes and the branches which some of the branches probably got close to the weight of a smaller deer. ... show more

It's not hunting season yet so I tried to simulate a similar size to an animal's leg by using this fence post driver. The harness fits easily around this object and is comfortable to drag. Obviously a far lower weight vs. a deer but at least gives somewhat of an idea. The foam handles are comfortable and the stitching appears solid. Seem to be a good buy. ... show more

This comfortable handle and strong tow strap is a good idea and budget friendly. It's bright in color, which IS necessary for dragging anything with antlers, prongs, or without!! Plus, it saves your hands, and your body alignment for those times when dragging is required. I am pleased with the quality and design. I will have to wait for deer season to really test these out but I think these straps will be great to have on hand. They are light weight and strong, will be easy to carry in a pack. I also like the reflective strip as a lot of times were are bringing game out after dark. The handles are large and have a soft wrap around so will be easy on the hands. With 2 straps, 2 people should be able to drag out a big buck pretty easily. ... show more
