I bought 2 silicone collapsible water bottles last year for travel, but I wasn’t very happy with them because of the silicone taste and low quality lids. These are a PERFECT collapsible water bottle. Super light and no plastic-y taste after only rinsing with warm soapy water before first use. The only downside with the 500 mL is the small size. I didn’t realize how small that was, but I’ll still use mine. For most people, the 1000 mL size is more practical. It's nice and small. This one is going into my BO bag, but looking to buy another to keep in the cargo pocket of my work pants, or any of my cargo pocket pants for that matter. The top lid is nice. You can squeeze the flask and it'll jet water out just like a sports bottle. When the lid is shut, squeeze as you might, the lid won't come open. Excellent. It's okay for what it is. I bought it to take on the plane with me, so that i could get it through security and then fill it up for the light. It is what it is, and i found i prefer to just buy a bottle of water at the airport and use that for my vacation. The water has a plastic taste. As an uphill skier, this water bottle is perfect to hang on a lanyard. It stays close to my body and will not freeze, unlike Camelbacks. Flexible enough to roll up & stash away when empty. Flexible to fit in jacket pockets, backpack pockets and bike packs. Love the size, material and color.
