  • Even wearable off the bike
Size: 40W x 34L Color: Black
These are surprisingly useful more than I thought they would be the pockets and all the right places, the durability, and all the right places the wind and cooling is perfect and they durable at the same time and even still comfortable while off the bike. Great quality, heavy material and still breathable, which surprised me. One of the more better invest investments for my motorcycle safety gear. ... show more

  • Great in the cold
Size: 40W x 34L Color: Black
I deliver DoorDash on my Vespa in Reno, Nevada when temps are in the 40s, and these pants get so warm they can actually make me sweat! So they are great if you are looking for something super warm. The inner lining can be removed to make them way less hot, but they still get warm. I don't wear them in the summer unless it's a cold night, but they can absolutely extend your riding season well into the fall. Even if you live in a city that has significant seasonal weather (like Reno). The pockets are really great. So much extra storage for little things guys on bikes need. For instance, I always have a flashlight in one of the pockets and my phone never feels like it's going to fly out of my pants. It's not elite armor protection by any means, but if you are riding around town, on city streets, it's way better than wearing jeans. in fact, you can wear these right over your clothes if you are a commuter and want keep your work clothes from potentially getting dirty on the way into work/school. I went up one size from my normal size as a lot of others recommended in the reviews. That was a good call. There are a few adjustment straps on the pants, so I think it's better to get them a little bigger than too small. These pants also just look good. Nice purchase. I don't think you're going to find better motorcycle pants at this price point. Can't go too wrong. ... show more

  • Warm, wind resistant, but tight.
Size: 40W x 32L Color: Black
Size: 3xl or 40"-42" with 32" inseam My typical pant size: 38"x32" Having ridden a couple thousand miles in these pants now I feel I can make an adequate review of them. I originally bought these a size larger than my normal pants with the intention of wearing them as over pants during the colder months, but with the Velcro waist adjustment still being able to wear them stand alone during the warmer months. Something I can recommend is to also purchase a slightly larger inseam, because when you double up on pants and sit on your motorcycle the pants will hike up on your legs and if you don't wear tall boots it will create a wind tunnel for air to flow up your pant legs. This isn't a major problem during warmer months because most of us would like to have that air flow, but during the colder times of the year it creates a significant problem. This can be solved by either getting a pair slightly longer or wearing taller boots. There is plenty of space to be worked with in the waist but I think the upper thigh is a bit lacking. I do have larger than average thighs though so take my word as you will. One major spot for improvement is the crotch, there's just not enough length/fabric between the crotch and the waist belt. That causes some minor discomfort while riding because in order for the waist to feel comfortable and not like the pants are falling off I have to constrict my groin region a little. This can get annoying to say the least. That being said, these pants are generally really warm. They cut the wind very well and the ventilation slits you can see in my pictures seem to do little to nothing for airflow. That's probably because they're fairly small and there is no exit path for the air to flow through. I've started having to wear these pants as stand alone pants or with at max a pair of long johns underneath, if I wear anything more my entire lower body is drenched in sweat after wearing them for an extended length of time off the bike (Like getting coffee with friends after a ride). This is all in temps as low as the mid 40s. I will say though that the inner mesh liner is very comfortable and you will not notice the sweat until your stripping them off after your ride. As far as durability goes, I've ridden a couple thousand miles in these by now and they are holding up very well. I typically ride at speeds around 50mph on average and have reached speeds of up to 85mph while wearing these and nothing has torn or ripped off. The Velcro has held tight and non of the zippers have broken yet. I can't speak much for the abrasion resistance of these yet thank God, mostly because I have not gone down while wearing them. They do have some cheaper armor housed within pockets sewn into the inner mesh. The armor feels decent and at the very least works great as knee pads while kneeling down to work on the bike for minor things along the road. The knees pads seem better than the hips pads. Overall I would say that these are great pants for the price point by far and would recommend them to anyone who is riding on a budget that still wants some "motorcycle pants" to wear instead of just jeans. As the title says "Warm, wind resistant, but tight". Noticeable areas of improvement to be had: - More fabric between the crotch and waist. - Better ventilation ports, possibly an exit port as well - Larger upper thigh region ... show more

  • Nice comfortable fit
Size: 34W x 34L Color: Black
Upon initial inspection I was a bit skeptical, having a plastic feel to them and being inexpensive, but they're not cheap as they double for use as rain pants, (I have not tried their water resistance, however). A soft and comfortable cotton feeling interior lining doesn't make them feel cheap, either. I wore these over shorts in hot weather and didn't sweat. Going on a few rides, one an hour long, I'm happy to say they're very comfortable and kept me warm for a morning commute. Plenty of room to wear over jeans and not too bulky or loose to be flapping in the wind. There are straps just below the thigh and around the ankles for adjustment. Including zippers along the legs, below the knee to accommodate boots. I have a large foot size and these pants, like others, do not unzip up to the waist. So I have to put the boots on after the pants. Plenty of secure pockets for stuff. No zippered access to interior jean pockets, however. No issue with heat from the motor either. No issues with movement or feeling tight. The armor included doesn't make them feel more bulky. I've read that armor upgrades are available. They're designed to be a bit bigger than regular jeans, so order the same size as your jeans. I feel that in cooler weather, they could be worn all day, off the bike. I was looking at armored stealth jeans, which are twice the price and opted for these instead. ... show more

  • Superb Premium Quality
Size: 32W x 30L Color: Black
As soon as these pants were in my hands, the first thing I noticed was the quality of materials! Easily on par with AGV, Built, Joe Rocket, or any of the other gear I have! Thick, rugged material and solid stitching throughout! (Grandma is a tailor/seamstress, I know quality material and stitching.) The cargo pockets are in the perfect place for both a sport bike and a cruiser. Mid-thigh and right in between on the front and side of the leg. They secure well and should prevent stuff from escaping, but it's doubtful they'll be waterproof. The front pockets on the other hand, should do the trick. Like the gusseted zippers on the lower legs and the fully gusseted crotch zipper, the zippers are solid and waterproofed. The leg vent zippers also have an additional rubber wind and waterproofing, I felt zero air penetrating the pants in the 40°F ride in at highway speeds. There's dual layers of thick, strong cordura in all the places you'd want them both riding...or sliding... The CE armor in the knees flex to fit both securely and comfortably (far more comfortable than my racing leathers, but slightly less thick). The CE hip armor is slightly stuff, but flexes into shape as soon as I say on the bike. It's slightly lower than my personal preference, but it'll be plenty protective in the event of an impact. Here's where half a star might possibly be lost, but it's only my personal preference and has nothing to do with the quality or function of these pants: Honestly, these are phenomenal pants!!! Don't get it twisted! I've had lots of gear over the years, and these are an absolute steal at the price! Could easily cost 2x-3x as much and be more than worth it!!! Two points of contention... 1) I'm kinda skinny at less than 5'8" and 150-155lbs. The below Velcro adjustable straps don't quite go small enough... On the thigh it honestly doesn't matter because the anatomical fit of the pants is so correct they don't move or flap. where I have a problem, is at the bottom of the pants. Velcro strap doesn't close tight enough am I skinny little ankles keep the wind out. The only place I felt any wind enter the suit was at the leg opening. They are pants, so a very small amount of air leakage is to be expected but this was full-on wind. I can easily fix it by adding Velcro from one of the rolls that I use at work so that the strap goes all the way around my ankle and I can meet it as tight or loose as I want. The price point for these pants, I don't even care! Easy fix, and a situation I've encountered with every single piece of gear I've ever had. 2) I CAN'T TAKE EM OFF WITH MY FREAKING BOOTS ON?!?! This honestly kind of bummed me out. These pants fit so well and are so comfortable, are so well made, and so well armored, this was the only drawback in my personal preference. The mesh lining got caught on the treads of my combat boots that I wear riding, and bunched up on the armor, and I could not get them off. Despite being able to unzip the gusseted leg and on velcro the strap at the ankle, they just would not go around the heel of my boot. Nothing new as far as overpants go, but it still would have been nice. In conclusion/TLDR: BUY THESE PANTS!!! You'll not regret it ... show more

  • Awesome riding pants!
Size: 30W x 32L Color: Black
I bought these for an adventure motorcycle trip. The price had me a little leary but I was amazed! They fit great and I'm 5'11" with a 32" in seam. My legs are a bit on the skinny side and they don't engulf them and I can adjust them to be snug. Open the vents and you can stay relatively cool. Now this leads me to my one "meh" about these pants. The vents. They could use a few more but the two they have will keep you from cooking at least. They're durable as I have taken a couple...ahem....get offs. Lol. They held up fine and the armor saved me from any skint shins or legs. Definitely would recommend if you're looking for a good quality at a good price. Edit: Ok 2 years after I purchased these pants and I thought I'd give an update. I still love these pants! After 2 years of Adventure riding and road riding. Multiple falls in the dirt, gravel, and rock trails and even a couple of drops at a stop on the road. They protected and still don't show any signs of damage. They've begun showing a little age but nothing serious. I have encouraged everyone I meet to buy these pants and other HWK products. My family now swears by HWK products! So if you need good gear at a good price then you've found the company to go with! ... show more

  • Great quality for a great price

I’ve had these pants for 6 years, but hit a deer doing 60mph yesterday. These pants saved my skin. I have one small spot on my right knee, but otherwise I was completely protected.

  • Updated - Disappointed! From 4 stars to 1 star
Size: 42W x 32L Color: Black
Update 5/4/22 - I do have to say they have great customer service! After my last update I went back to contact the manufacturer and they looked at my pics and within a couple days, sent me a new pair. That’s pretty stand-up in my book. I love that these fit over my tall boots and I have room to use them as an overpant. I’m hoping these will last until I have to replace them due to normal wear and not a fabric failure. Updated 4/29/22 - I've worn these maybe 5-7 times since I bought them and was very happy....now I'm very disappointed. On my ride today, as you can see in the photos, the nylon literally split. The seem didn't give out, but the nylon fabric started to come undone. I thought I was over the period where these would do what others said they did, but I guess not. Too late to return them, but maybe the company will see this and replace them for me? Probably not, but it's worth a shot. I love everything else about them, but I'm afraid to pay another $60 and have them do the same thing. Probably will end up going with a more expensive overpant. Initial review: I ordered my true size and had to return them. They fit okay, but since they are advertised as "overpants" I thought they would come slightly larger to fit layers. They fit fine but had no room for layers so I went a size up. These are perfect. There is enough adjustability in the waist to tighten them snug w/o issues and now have plenty of room for layers. Took them on one ride so far and the knee and hip protection was enough to cover me on a slow speed fall on a rocky trail. No rips, tears or anything other than they got dirty. The pants fit easily over my Alpinestar Corazal boots and still zip and velcro up. The only issue I have is that when they had sewn the inner liner to the lower legs, the stitching on one leg was caught and sewn through the leg giving it a seam where one shouldn't have been. I was able to take some scissors and remove the stitching, but that made the liner come away from the leg, but since it's down where it covers my boots, it's not really an issue. I love the large side pockets for quick access to stuff. They handled 62 degrees all the way up to 94 degrees on my ride w/o being uncomfortable at all. Overall these are a great value. I've bought other pants for more than triple the price and I like these better so far. Not sure about the waterproof capabilities yet, but the zippers seem like they have a waterproof lining so I'm crossing my fingers. ... show more
