This is truly olive green in color. Not olive drab #3 though which to my eye is gust a bit olive green side of modern day ‘khaki ( yellowish tan) but will do for WW2 type green. Sprays and covers nice. I wanted to make something evenly in color so I spray a mossy oak pattern and orange band with flat black left the brown alone and then applied two coats over the whole thing. Worked great. Only bad thing I can say is it took longer to dry than most spray paints I have used so let it sit over nite at least and the smell, so do it outdoors away from anything. I purchased this in the hope that it would match the 383 CARC green on my military humvee. It is brighter and more yellowish than 383 green when compared side by side. However, the manufacturer never claimed that this was a match for 383, that was just me taking a chance. The color is indeed flat black, and works very well on any of my gear that is all fabric. It absorbs right in, doesn't linger for longer than an average dry time of a few minutes, and keeps a nice consistent spray and color. The only problem is that when applied to any smooth surfaces (such as those reflective surfaces you may want to cover on blacked out gear) it will take much longer to dry, and once dry it will chip off rather than staying put within the surface. As a result this spray is really only good for fabric (I don't know how the other reviewers managed to make it stick to metals, maybe they used a topcoat they forgot to mention) but I used it on my all white knee pads and also on their metal buckles and it continually chips off when in contact with rough surfaces or any kind of friction. Despite this drawback it really is great for fabric, and doesn't leave a lingering smell, making it ideal for your survival or night hunting gear. ... show more
