The opening at the top was too tight, my calf is 16" (size 10 Women's) and then the boot was squished down a little from being tight at the top and didn't hold its shape because of the tightness. Super cute boots but I highly recommend checking your calf circumference before ordering! I ordered shorter Hunter boots in hopes they will fit better on my leg.

The toe box is roomy enough that you can wear thick socks in winter and the boots are knee high. If you have big calves then they may not fit you right as they don't stretch.

You can't get more classic than this boot. Glossy, but not in a bad way and they scuff rarely. Have to get used to the buckels, which don't lay flat by design, like you would expect them to. But after a few days wearing they don't look odd to you and you get used ot crossing your legs while wearing.

I walk dogs and am out in the weather a lot. These boots will come in very handy for those really rainy sloppy days. We don't get that much snow in Northern Virginia, but I think it is interesting that I chose to get these boots now. I'm thinking it could be because there will be snow that would have gone up over the other boots I had. I'm very pleased with them.

I was unsure of the product for this price almost $60 cheaper then other stores for the blk gloss. Arrived in real box and yup they are real. I’m usually a 8.5 (5’6/160)but bought a 8. Fit well not too tight. If you have large calf’s I would size up.

Purchased these after my Jules boots both developed cracks across the top of ankle area after only about 12 wears and, regular cleaning with Jules cleaner. These hunter Boots arrived in perfect condition. Hoping the glossy finish will be easier to care for. I read the reviews and was torn between what size to order. I am a standard 7 1/2. My Jules were a size 7 and with an insole and socks fit well but ,once I put in boot liners felt too snug. With these Hunter boots decided on the 8 and am glad I did. I placed in a lambswool insole for warmth and support and typically wear with thick socks. I can also wear my boot liners with room to wiggle my toes. When it is snowing or really cold I need the liners and with tight boots your toes get cold. I am able to wear my jeans and have no problems tucking them in. My calfs measure 14" and am able to get boots on and off with no problem. If your calfs are over 14 1/2" I think they may be too tight and rubber does not stretch. If you plan on putting in a liner wearing socks and a boot liner I recommend if you are a 1/2 size go up to the next full size. I ordered the dark olive and love the color. Hope these last longer than my Jules . I took off 1 star for lack of arch support.
