I moved to a rural area and between the mud, poison ivy and prickly bushes, I needed some tough rubber boots higher than mid-calf. These are perfect - if they were any higher on my they'd be over my knees. They also aren't wide at the calf so I don't end up with mulch and rocks and unspeakable things finding their way in and my pants stay perfectly tucked in. They are comfortable enough to wear all day, tromping around the pasture. My only complaint is the little tab, which doesn't seem to serve any purpose and won't stay closed. I think I will just cut it off. I like these so much I ordered them in two other colors. Might as well be cute while getting dirty!
