This is my third Hunt A Killer game, and while I haven’t played this particular case yet, I’ve looked through the materials and have every reason to believe it will be just as enjoyable as the previous two. If you’ve never played one of these games, the premise is simple: you’re presented with a modern-day murder mystery and a collection of evidence, and it’s your job to solve the case. There are no traditional turns or game board. After someone reads the opening letter that sets the scene and asks for your help, everyone can immediately begin examining the evidence in whatever order they choose. That means everyone stays engaged instead of waiting for their turn. The evidence is really the highlight of the experience. Hunt A Killer does an excellent job creating realistic documents, photos, and other clues that make you feel like you’re working a real investigation. There is plenty of material to spread around, so everyone has something to examine. I’ve played other Hunt A Killer cases with both a group of four and a group of eight. In both situations there was enough evidence for everyone to be hands-on, and each person had the opportunity to discover clues and contribute to solving the mystery. I also appreciate that there is essentially no preparation required. The host gets to participate just like everyone else instead of spending the evening running the game. These mysteries are designed to be solved once, so there isn’t replay value, but that’s simply the nature of this type of experience. The fun comes from discovering the clues, connecting the evidence, and solving the case together. Whether your group consists of experienced tabletop gamers or people who rarely play games at all, I’ve found these to be a fantastic shared experience. I timed our first session start to finish, 2 hours and 14 minutes with two of us working through the passenger logs and the in car video recordings. We laid everything across my coffee table, which barely fit it all, and my apartment started looking like a data analyst's fever dream. I brought this out for a Friday game night and the amount of physical material you get for the price is genuinely impressive. The keepsake bobblehead isn't just a throwaway prop either, you need to actually examine it closely and we almost missed a key connection because we dismissed it as decoration during the first pass. What separates this from standard escape room style boxes is the digital trail evidence. You're not just solving abstract puzzles tacked onto a story, you are cross referencing timestamps, phone records, and passenger statements that contradict each other in small ways. My roommate wandered over halfway through, read one transcript over my shoulder, and immediately pointed out a discrepancy I had stared at for ten minutes without registering. And yeah the rideshare premise feels current without trying too hard, the Carpuul driver angle gives you a limited suspect pool that's tight enough to manage but still leaves room for wrong theories. One thing I didn't expect was how much the in car video recording would actually matter. We replayed it four times and caught something new on the third watch that changed our entire timeline. The evidence quality is substantial, thick cardstock reports and a bobblehead that has real weight to it, not flimsy printed stuff that curls at the edges after one night. We solved it in one sitting but the case logic held up to scrutiny, there's a coherent chain of motive and opportunity that doesn't rely on cheap twists. I love murder mystery games, though I've learned that saying "I spent Saturday night enthusiastically investigating a rideshare homicide" requires immediate follow-up context. Hunt A Killer: Rideshare Homicide drops you into a very modern crime scene and gives you the glorious task of digging through evidence, documents, clues, and assorted suspicious behavior until you can piece together what happened. No spoilers here, because ruining a mystery game should carry roughly the same criminal penalties as the fictional murder itself. The quality and presentation are exactly what I've come to expect from Hunt A Killer. The evidence feels substantial, the story is engaging, and there is enough information to spread across a table and make your dining room look like the headquarters of a deeply underfunded detective agency. You read, compare, cross-reference, argue over tiny details, and inevitably become convinced that one completely innocent clue is the key to everything. The modern rideshare premise works especially well because it feels current and believable, giving the mystery a nice true-crime vibe without requiring six seasons of a podcast to reach a conclusion. What I enjoy most about these games is the feeling of actually investigating rather than simply solving a series of puzzles. You're building a theory, challenging each other's assumptions, and slowly watching the pieces fall into place. It's great solo, but even better with a small group of amateur detectives who are willing to confidently accuse everyone in the case at least once. Five stars. We solved the murder, destroyed several reputations along the way, and are now completely insufferable whenever someone mentions forensic evidence.

If you like escape room style mystery games, Hunt a Killer brand is DEFINITELY at the top of the list for quality, fun mystery games. Hands down. I cannot over emphasize the quality. You get really nice little game pieces that are evidence, and are literally things you can save for display. The mystery itself isn’t overly easy..l but it’s definitely solveable. I did this one with my adult daughter, and it took us about three hours to solve. Of course game play time can vary baded on player ages and experience with this style of game and number of players. I’d say it is very family friendly, as long as your child is old enough for murder themes, If you are new to this genre of game, just realize this is a one time play game. It may initially seem pricey for a game you play only once, but compared to going to an actual escape room…it’s a deal. The material in the game are the best quality of any similarly styled game brand we’ve ever tried. It’s become traditional to get my daughter one every year for Christmas and her birthday. We love playing them that much. I would absolutely recommend and definitely plan to buy more from this company!!!

The Hunt A Killer games have become one of my favorite ways to spend an evening. They capture that feeling of picking apart a case, following leads, and slowly assembling the truth without making you learn a complicated rulebook first. You're solving a mystery, not wrestling with the game itself. Rideshare Homicide keeps up the series' high standard. The evidence feels convincing, the production quality is excellent, and every new document or item you uncover pulls you a little deeper into the investigation. It's cooperative, so it's just as enjoyable working through the case with friends as it is tackling it solo. Half the fun comes from debating theories before someone notices the one clue everyone else overlooked. Like the rest of the series, this is an experience more than a game you'll pull off the shelf every month. Once you've solved it, the mystery is gone. That hardly feels like a drawback, though. A good detective novel only surprises you once too. I'll avoid spoilers because discovering the twists for yourself is the whole point. If you enjoy true crime, detective stories, or simply want a game night that feels different from the usual board game, this is an easy one to recommend it's totally worth the very reasonable price for such an amazing experience. Very highly recommended

I have played a different version of this type of game before and it's a lot of fun! The instructions are clear and it's easy to pick up and play with your friends. As it is more of an experience based game, I'm assuming that it's not going to have much replay ability but the value is still good. Think of this as having a dinner theater murder mystery with your friends. You can always pass it on to someone else to use but I think that what you get out of it for the money is still worth it. It can certainly be cheaper than going to the movies. The materials are all quality and the stories are usually engaging. I can't speak to this one exactly because I haven't played it yet but I'm looking forward to it and there's no reason to believe that it won't be another killer game from hunt a killer

We have played and enjoyed many of the Hunt A Killer games, and this one was no different. The game was the perfect difficulty level in our opinion- hard enough to make you really think and cooperate with your team, but not so hard that it gets more frustrating than fun. The included pieces and clues are fun to interact with and explore. As with all of these type games, it isn't really replayable once youve solved the mystery, but you are able reset the game to allow others a chance at solving it. Overall, great game for the price!
