We purchased this so that my son's toys had an official place to live in our living room. It is perfect for what we need it for. I got the light wood color because a lot of the pictures from other reviews showed unfinished wood on the inside of the handles along the side of the shelf that would have driven me absolutely crazy. I really like this color, so it worked out. My husband assembled it easily but said that one of the screws was stripped, but that was it for any issues with assembly. It comes with mounting straps so you can mount it to the wall and avoid the whole shelf topping over onto your child if they were to try to climb on it... which I wouldn't suggest allowing in the first place because the medal poles aren't THAT sturdy.
