  • Stunningly clear, lightweight and comfortable. Best pair I've ever owned
These sunglasses truly surprised me ... the lens quality, clarity and color is AMAZING! For context, I had been using a pair of Duduma polarized sunglasses with red mirror lens as my primary glasses but being my only pair (I had lost my Nike ones last summer) and constantly forgetting them in the car or house at times, I decided I needed to buy an additional pair. The Hulislem (wish it was a catchier name) was priced right, had good reviews and looked nice, so I gave it a try. I honestly expected all polarized lenses to be the same. What surprised me is that the listing descriptions seem like your typical "over-inflated" advertising but: 1. The lenses are EXTREMELY CLEAR & DON'T DISTORT THE COLOR. I was surprised at how clear things were versus my current sunglasses. This is probably the biggest "color me surprised" takeaway I had when I first wore these outside. The Hulislem are now my favorite pair, colors are more natural and it's not as dark, not to mention the clarity is also noticeably better. I took a comparison pic of the view through the lens with my phone set to manual mode to show you how they compare. 2. It is lightweight and super comfortable. It weighs about 29 grams and wears very comfortably. The lens is fully framed but gives the illusion of a partial frame in the front which looks great without having the narrow edge of the lens contact your face (which I've experienced with half frame sunglasses before). It also props up very well on my head and the temples don't apply excessive force or feel like they're squeezing your head. I could wear this all day! The glasses were well packaged and includes everything you need. There's a nice zippered hard case with a clip to attach the case to a bag, loop, kayak deck rigging, etc. There's a cleaning cloth included which is always appreciated. Truly one of those "surprised how good these are for the price" buys! There's a star rating for "working out" which I didn't input because I haven't used them for that yet, however I have used them out and about, they do stay put very well and don't bounce around. ... show more

  • Took a chance, was very pleased (with my small head and narrow nose bridge)
I just got PRK surgery and needed normal, non-prescription sun glasses for the first time in over 20 years. Because of my old prescription I could never have curved lens/wrap-around sun glasses. Also, because of the bridge of my nose I always needed to have frames with the customizable rubber/silicon nose pads, so good fit across the bridge of my nose was a top requirement for me. These HULISLEM S1's exceeded my expectations. For $25 these things are a bargain. Comfortable, solid fit, the anti-glare properties make me feel like I have perfect vision when pacific the sun is mid-day bright. When I go inside I can slide them right up on top of my head, they sit there comfortably, and I will often end up sending them to the ground if I take my hat off because I forget they are there... and at $25 I don't care when they hit the ground (and they haven't scratched or broken after many drops). For other folks who have issues with how many solid-bridge style glasses fit on their nose (e.g. traditional black thick frame Ray Ban's) these are the most comfortable to wear glasses I have had in recent years. The weight definitely helps, but I never feel any friction irritation over time either at the bridge of my nose, nor the top of my ears. I couple these sunglasses with a pair of Aftershokz Aeroplex headphones for many hours without any discomfort. ... show more

  • Five Star Minus One Star
These glasses are the best I've used in ten years. I am a Triathlete, cyclist, former Marathon runner - and I drive three hours per day. What is most important to me with sunglasses is that they are optically perfect. I don't want to see ridges or flare in my lenses, I can't tolerate distortion or off center polished lenses. They need to make me think I am not looking through glasses at all. These glasses look to be optically perfect - superb viewing when out doors. The color rendition is great and glare is cut significantly. Best of all, peripheral vision is just as perfect. They are lightweight and so far seem durable. The glasses are perfect for outdoor use - hiking, cycling, running, cutting the grass, walking the dog - and so forth. Perfect. BUT - they are NOT for driving. Polarized lenses don't work well when looking through other glass. So when you look out of your windshield, side window, or even your cell phone screen, you'll see color banding. This is not a defect it is simply the result of Polarized lenses. So why four stars instead of five? The frame is off center. The left and right temple arms are not on the same plane, which means one arm sits firmly on the ear, and the other floats slightly above the other ear. Overall love the glasses - so much better than glasses on which I've spent $100 or more. They are as good as the best ski goggles I've ever used that cost hundreds. Buy them - then fix the frame. Some other reviewer said he tried to 'twist' the frame into shape, but that is not the way it works. You need to heat the nose piece with a heat gun (not a hair dryer), then turn the glasses up side down on a flat table with the glasses arms open. Then simply hold them flat against the table until the bridge cools and voila, done. Great glasses. ... show more

  • Very clear vision
I just ordered my 3rd pair. I have 1 just for golf ( in the case that they come with and on my bag). That is so I never go golfing without them. I have one that my spouse took to play pickleball and won’t give them back. And a pair for everyday wear. They are great in the sun for blocking glare and are good for my to follow the golf ball’s flight. They are also very comfortable. I live in Florida. I have gone through about ten types of glasses in the past 4 years. These are the best. ... show more
