I purchased this security for my parents to use when they go on vacation because their ADT security system is an older version, which does not come with security cameras. I currently use stationary cameras placed throughout the home to keep an eye on it while they are away. The cameras are up-to-date with night vision capability, motion & sound detection, and 3 K resolution, but because they are stationary, I have to place them just right to get a panoramic view of the rooms they are in and sometimes it's hard to get everything I want into the frame. With this pan/tilt camera, it's no longer an issue. Build: The build quality of this camera is excellent. It has a good weight to it and a sturdy base with non-slip pads, so it won't fall over or get knocked over easily. The plastic used is a high quality plastic and the camera tilts and pans smoothly and quickly without issue. The power cable is quite long (6 ft) and it uses a USB-C connection. Software: I downloaded the app from Google Play Store and was pleasantly surprised. The camera was easy to setup via the app and the app itself is easy to use with the camera controls streamlined and intuitive. The camera is ready to use right away with the app, but the app also provides a variety of settings that you can tinker with and personalize if you so choose. Motion detection and sound detection work well and sensitivity can be adjusted. The siren function and speaker function are clear and loud when needed. Image Quality: Image quality is excellent during the day and night. Zooming causes some distortion as is to be expected, but colors are natural and crisp and images are sharp. Image quality is perfect for security camera use. Overall: I'm quite happy with my selection and have added it to the overall security system for my parents' house. The pan/tilt function was something I really wanted and this camera does not disappoint. I will consider getting additional units in the future as needed. ... show more

This even though most of all thr reviews raved how great a product this is didn't prepare me for what a great picture and value this truly Is it'd very easy to setup and includes a mouth for the camera but it's main features great picture/ easy to setup and work with your phone and easy to connect to Alexa and wifi it took 5 minutes total to be up and running it makes no noise when panning or tilting! I would easily recommend this to anyone I've never heard of this company but glad I ran into here Awesome! ... show more

I had previously purchased a Fingerprint Door Lock from Hugolog, so I already expected a well-designed and functionally sound product. And I was not disappointed. The product felt sturdy and looked aesthetic. I first installed the Hugolog Connect app and turned on notifications so I could receive alerts. Following the instructions on the app was the simplest and quickest way to install it. The camera clarity was great and the options on the app were comprehensive for an indoor camera. The security camera is powered by a standard USB-C cable, but it may not be long enough depending on where you want to place it. But since USB-C is pretty standard these days, I already had a longer cable to use. I definitely feel that this is a great security camera for a family. ... show more

The version I got works well on my 2G internet. It gives a clear picture and definitely moves pretty well with motion detection and motion tracking. I can easily communicate through the camera when needed and have the whole of my space largely in the picture at all times. Worth the $30 in my opinion

    • Useless for recording motion detection

Useless For my application: Need night vision recording to monitor sleep disorder. Indoor bedroom focused setup. Event triggered by sounds and motion must be fully captured. Using MicroSD card for storage. 1) There is no pre/post event recording; Will not capture the first 4 seconds of the motion/sound detected. So in my case, the videos recorded does not show any activity as the event has already passed. 2) The app does not give you the ability to delete selected recordings. You are required to delete the recordings for the whole day. To save videos, you have to download them one by one before you can delete the day's recording. It is tedious. 3) Night vision in black and white is fine. Night vision Smart records in black and white, I see no difference. Night vision color is grainy and poor quality. I'm recording indoor on a 3-5 foot distance. 4) App is all over the place... confusing. 5) You cannot watch detected recording if camera is on sleep mode. 6) microphone has noisy background Additional update: 7) MicroSD location is hard to pull out (use a tweezer at least) 8) Mp4 files unreadable from the MicroSD. You need the app to share or move video. Will return this product ... show more
