I have a few pairs of athleta leggings from around 2018 that I LOVE but they do not make the fabric like that anymore - it’s a Lycra blend that’s thicker and still breathable. This is the closest I have found (and I’ve recently ordered about ten pairs leggings from Amazon and sent all but this and one other pair back). I was looking for a legging that had a thick waistband, no elastic in the waistband, and a thick breathable fabric. This hit all the marks in that regard. My waist is about 27”, hips 36”. I purchased a small. I found them slightly on the large side in my hips and butt, and I found that the seam that connects the pants to the waistband sort of digs in and makes me look like I have hip dips when I don’t. but they are comfy regardless. I’m going to order an xs and keep both for diff occasions. These will be more for every day wear rather than exercise. I have two main gripes: the inseam length and the crotch sewing. I have pretty long legs, for being 5’4”, and these do bunch at the ankle on me. I generally prefer I suppose a 26” inseam. However I think these are 28” and I’ve bought 28” inseam leggings before and they weren’t this baggy/long. Not a dealbreaker though, I’ll keep them for the fabric alone. The crotch does not have a triangular gusset like most leggings. I find that because of this, the seam likes to ride up into my crotch a little too much for my liking and is not as comfortable. Again, not a deal breaker for me but not the best thing. I am still on the hunt for my new favorite legging but these are definitely at the top and a really nice price too. ... show more

In early 2010,I got a pair of black American Apparel leggings that I loved & wore extremely often for almost 4 years. By late fall 2013,however,they had predictably become quite worn -- they had a few holes & were bit faded & were so stretched out that they were practically falling off me (not ideal for leggings!).I'm not complaining;almost 4 years is a good run for leggings worn about 2-3 times a week except in the summer (I also have a brown pair that I bought at the same time but wore much less & those are still in great shape)but it was definitely time for a new pair! I wanted to buy another pair of those same AA leggings but the price had gone up quite a bit, my budget was tight & I couldn't find them on sale anywhere. It was December & I really wanted black leggings for the winter so, after looking around & reading the reviews for several different brands/styles, I decided to order these, which were not exactly cheap as far as leggings go but were definitely more reasonably priced than the AA ones. I figured if I didn't like them as much as the AA ones, I could order those when my bank account recovered a bit from the holidays or I found them on sale. I never ended up ordering the AA ones, though, bc these are great! They are high quality (no holes or fading after several months of very frequent wear), very comfortable & fit well. I am just slightly smaller, weight-wise, than the "average" woman (I'm 5'5 1/2" -- I usually round up to 5'6" but for the sake of helping others chose the right size, I'll refrain from doing so here ;)-- & weigh about 115 lbs, maybe 120 when I've been particularly hungry or 110 when I've been exercising every day or coming off an illness) & typically wear an XS in women's clothing unless the brand runs small & the XS in these fit well.I could probably gain an extra 10-15 lbs or lose 5-10 lbs & they'd still fit well -- leggings are nice like that! They are thick enough that I wasn't cold wearing them outside in the winter, though it typically doesn't get all that cold where I live. I did wear them with a skirt & warm boots on a few days when it was in the 30s & 40s ,though,& was fine.I wasn't, however, outside for all that long -- the longest was 25 minutes while supervising recess; I wouldn't wear them if I were going to be out walking all day unless it was at least in the low 50s. I also wore them outside for quite a while on several days it the 70s-low 80s & was not at all hot. I finally had to retire them for the season when it got to be warmer than that, however :) The only slight drawback is that they are rather long on me. My legs are pretty short for someone my height -- I have a somewhat long torso & a kind of big head lol -- so I run into that problem with women's pants fairly often (unless I get a short/petite pair). I'm guessing, though, that they would be a bit long on even someone my height with legs that are proportionate to her height as they seem longer than most women's pants. It's not a major issue for me bc I generally wear them with boots & when I wear them w/ other shoes/sandals I can just pull them up higher on my torso without them looking noticeably different, especially since I always wear leggings with a skirt,tunic, or dress. If you plan on wearing them with both a shorter top & shoes/sandals instead of boots, however, the length might be a problem. ... show more

These guys are pretty nice. I like the length, I’m 5’8 and they hit right at my ankles. The waist band is nice and thick, like 2” think, so they don’t roll. They’re thick enough that I couldn’t see my white panties underneath. Super comfy, I could wear them all day everyday and be just fine. What I’m not nuts about is the lack of snatching. They are hiding much. They also have a little give so I get a some “bunching” at the knees and calves. So… will I keep them and wear them? Absolutely. Will they replace my favorite pair of leggings? Absolutely not. Are they worth the money? Yes. They are great as an easy reliable “go-to” but they’re not impressive. ... show more

I ordered these leggings as a replacement to my old Walmart ones that I've worn to rags, and so far I'm pleased with the purchase! I was hesitant of the price at first (Walmart leggings are usually around $10), but knowing I only get about a year of wear out of those, I was ready to take the plunge and try something that might hold up a little longer. Its only been a few weeks since my purchase, so obviously I can't yet speak to how long the leggings will last, but so far I am pleased! The seams are done nicely, the stitches aren't loose or crooked. The fabric itself is thicker than what I'm used to, which means the first few times I've worn them they aren't as flexible or stretchy maybe as others, but they're still way better than pants lol I do LOVE the waistband on these, its much thicker than some leggings (if you don't prefer bulky/high-waisted pants maybe look elsewhere), but I love the support they offer my belly. These leggings are also long enough for me, which is nice, since I'm 5'10" and usually leggings hit my ankle bone if I'm lucky. These don't scrunch around my ankles, but they are longer than many that I've tried. Fits true to size, although maybe a little tight at first due to the thickness of the material. Maybe order up if you're between sizes or prefer your clothes a little looser. I will try to remember to update this review in a year or so with how the leggings have held up. :) *Update 2.5 years later* The thigh seam gave out about a year into wearing them. I was able to restitch them myself but that only lasted about another year. I finally trashed them a week or so ago after accepting that I couldn't fix them again. RIP leggings with the best wasitband, you will be missed. Tbh I'll probably buy another pair. They were comfy af. ... show more

These aren't terrible leggings but let's just say I'm glad I got them when they were half off. I'm fairly confident they are authentic Hue leggings but they just didn't quite match the quality I expected from this brand. The fabric is my biggest issue - it just doesn't feel sturdy and I already have some pilling between my thighs only having worn 2 times. After washing once they look a bit faded to my eye. I like the length, I'm 5'8" and they don't bunch up nor do they hit too high on my ankle. The waistband is super comfortable but it gaps out a bit for me (I have 17" differences between my waist and hips so I'm used to this happening). This shows through some of my dresses and also means they sag a little through the say so I have to hitch them up, but nowhere nearly as bad as some other leggings I've had. Overall, pretty meh, they're wearable but I personally feel they wouldn't be worth full price and I won't be surprised if I have a hole or more significant pilling soon. ... show more

I have bought so many leggings over there’s, most in the $98+ range and these leggings beat them all! I absolutely love how they’re so soft and extra perks for not being made out of polyester. The waste band is narrower so I was worried that my lower mom pooch would bulge out under the band like with many other legging brands, but not with these! I am so happy. They’re breathable, comfortable, and can easily be dressed up with a nice top or tunic. I’ll be back for more. ... show more

Material has a cotton look that can be used at home, for the gym, on a lazy day, casually or dressed semi-up with nice shoes and a dressy top or sweater. It does not have an odor and I would say it works well for all types of weather, with the winter being a little cold, if you’re sensitive to it. The color was black as expected and as per the original design, it does not carry pockets. I personally bought the XL and it is too large on me around the waist. I have wide hips but a smaller waist. It was also bunching up a bit on the bottom (I’m 5’4”) and so I’m going to order a L and I really hope that works out bc I really like the leggings themselves.
