  • I think it's a great scope, but afraid it may be too much work for granddaughter to get started on.
Color: 1.White
I read lots of reviews and checked out lots of scopes before choosing this one for our granddaughter. I really like that it's terrestrial (in other words, what you see is not upside down). It's relatively short, comes with a carrying case and is wide enough that it is easier to find things in the scope. The downside for me is the finder scope which gets attached to the body of the main scope. Obviously it has to be lined up just right to enable one to locate objects with the main scope. Maybe I'm missing something but that was quite difficult. And even if I did so it appears I'd need to remove it to put it back in the case. My suggested solution, either 1) get it lined up some day when you have lots of time and DON'T remove it when you put it back in the case (not sure if it'll fit but try anyway) or 2) skip the finder scope and line up the main scope at its lowest power. The fear I have as of now is that getting things set up is going to take an adult who will take some time or a kid with patience-- not sure my granddaughter is ever going to have that happen. Afraid this may end up in a closet collecting dust. (Sure hope they'll give it back to me if that's what happens... before it ends up at Goodwill) ... show more

  • just okay
Color: 2.Black
I have tried really hard with this but no matter what I do, the area to see anything is basically a pinhole so it’s frustrating to try finding anything worth seeing.

  • It's ok
Color: 2.Black
This is my first telescope. The tripod is very flimsy and moves easily once you have it set up, and that is not in a good way. I have enjoyed looking at the moon but had when it is moving around and not steady.

  • Great quality
Color: 1.White
I absolutely love this telescope. I like to take the kids and look up at the moon or stars, and this telescope does a fantastic job. It comes with three different lenses for three different distances. But my favorite addition by far is the moon and sun filters. They dim each enough that you can see them clearly. I highly recommend getting this, especially for such a great price. ... show more

  • Gift to grandson
Color: 1.White
This was a gift for my 9yr old grandson. He loves it, but says the tripod is wobbly. Took him a while to get the focus right. This is definitely one he can grow into.

  • Great telescope for beginners.
Color: 2.Black
This is a great telescope for beginners, we are still learning how to use telescope and learning of astronomy, so this telescope is perfect for us, my son is the one who uses the most and is easy for him to use. It was easy to assembly my 13 year old son did it by himself, also easy to disassemble and put it away on the bag that is included. The bag is super nice great for traveling or just taking your telescope to the park or friends etc. This makes a great gift for kids or just for a astronomy lover! ... show more

  • Entry level telescope for kids learning
Color: 1.White
The telescope is pretty small and portable. The setup of the telescope is also easy and a kid can do it alone in 10 minutes. So I like to take it with my road trip of national park with my kids and help them learn the stars. Its manual also comes with some basic and easy understand knowledge of astronomy to help. Since it is an entry level telescope, it cannot see every star clearly. But it is pretty good at seeing the moon and taking pictures of it using phone. And I think it would be better if the manual could list the star it could see clearly and which optical len to use. ... show more
