I bought this as a portable workstation. I wanted the 32 GB of memory most, and I wanted a fast-ish processor for future proofing. It does the job very well. It boots quickly and runs fast. The display is clear and bright, although I'm not using its abilities. It's not a laptop; it's a portable. Battery life is only a few hours, and it's heavy. At the same time, I have no problem carrying it around. Different configurations of this model have different charging and battery BIOS options. Mine doesn't allow limiting charging to 80%, and USB charging doesn't seem to work. HP should fix this, but it's not really a problem. The--enormous--power brick has long cords and charges quickly. BTW, I erased Windows 11 and loaded Ubuntu 24.04. The only problem I found is that suspend mode doesn't work at all. I just shut down and restart; start up is fast enough that I don't mind. ... show more

Came exactly how it was described. Runs very smoothly on high settings on most games. Forza 5 on most all high settings getting a smooth 160-175 fps with frame generation on. Battery seems like it will last around 6-7 hours as long as you turn the laptop on “ECO” mode in the OMEN gaming hub and have display on around half brightness. ... show more

This computer is amazing. At first I was a little worried because the box that the laptop comes in said 512GB SSD and I purchased the 2TB SSD version, but when I finished the initial windows set up and updates, I checked my space available and it is indeed 2TB. The media could not be loaded. I was excited to use my laptop but when I tried turning it back on it doesn’t turn back on or it would take 10 minutes to turn back on, let’s be honest who’s waiting 10 minutes for a laptop to turn back on
