I bought this as a portable workstation. I wanted the 32 GB of memory most, and I wanted a fast-ish processor for future proofing. It does the job very well. It boots quickly and runs fast. The display is clear and bright, although I'm not using its abilities. It's not a laptop; it's a portable. Battery life is only a few hours, and it's heavy. At the same time, I have no problem carrying it around. Different configurations of this model have different charging and battery BIOS options. Mine doesn't allow limiting charging to 80%, and USB charging doesn't seem to work. HP should fix this, but it's not really a problem. The--enormous--power brick has long cords and charges quickly. BTW, I erased Windows 11 and loaded Ubuntu 24.04. The only problem I found is that suspend mode doesn't work at all. I just shut down and restart; start up is fast enough that I don't mind. ... show more

Garbage product. Apparently these are 8gb laptops that hp or this 3rd party seller refurbished to 32gb and adds a gpu somehow? Laptop boots but crashes after 10 to 15 minutes of up time. Really disappointed and never buying here again. Spent nearly 1k on this and it doesn't work.

i did specifically buy one with higher specs in mind but it does everything i need it to do. gaming, rendering, map design, etc. super thin easy to drag around but definitely gets a bit hot. you will need an external fan to do just about anything meaningful on it. Battery life sucks but if you just need something to bring with you it still works great plugged in. dont drop it. you could snap this thing in half over your knee. My biggest complaint is terrible battery life, ~4hrs or slightly longer. I'm not running games or anything heavy duty. Also expected it to be a bit faster.

Came exactly how it was described. Runs very smoothly on high settings on most games. Forza 5 on most all high settings getting a smooth 160-175 fps with frame generation on. Battery seems like it will last around 6-7 hours as long as you turn the laptop on “ECO” mode in the OMEN gaming hub and have display on around half brightness. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I was excited to use my laptop but when I tried turning it back on it doesn’t turn back on or it would take 10 minutes to turn back on, let’s be honest who’s waiting 10 minutes for a laptop to turn back on
