I am not tech savvy, so I was a little afraid of this printer when it arrived. But I had it out of the box and working within 5 minutes! Everything is smooth. It's a little bit noisier than my old printer (an HP 2700) but all in all, I like the low profile it has, and the chute for multiple documents to be copied at once. It's refurbished so I got it for about half the price of a new one, so that's a plus since it works perfectly and worked perfectly since the moment I got the ink in and tried it out. I'm really pleased with it. Had a bit of an issue with getting it on my HP Ink account, but that was the HP Ink process, had nothing to do with this printer. But now it's on the HP Ink account replacing my old printer and I couldn't be happier! ... show more

Faster response than my previous 13+ years old HP office jet when telling it to print documents from the desktop computer. Print quality good. Feeder works well although it seems difficult to load because it's tight, not as much "play" as I'm used to. This is a "home" model with less capacity than our old "business" model with all the bells & whistles and large capacity w/2 paper trays. We don't need that any more and I am very happy with this purchase. This was a "Renewed by Amazon" refurbished printer for 40% off and included 2 yr Extended HP warranty. Prints from Android phones as well. Everything set up seamlessly once I added it to HP Smart Print app and signed into my HP account. I would buy a "Renewed by Amazon" refurbished product again. I only buy HP printers nowadays due to prior bad experiences with other brands. ... show more

I had to call the support team since I didn't see the part of not connecting the USB on setup, so what was supposed to be 10 minutes took him an hour. I also had to send him proof of my 6 months free ink since it was available on his side. Keep your receipts, it avoids any delays in setup. Everyone has their own needs when it comes to printing, this printer met my expectations. It’s scan function is excellent with the document feeder if not a little slow. I love the ability to print from anywhere. I can complete a document at work and print it at home from the office rather than carrying paper between my work office and home office.     • No Way To Sign Up For “Free” Ink

I’m on my second printer after returning the first one. Both connected to my WiFi with no issue, were seen by my various devices, and printed fine. The problem came when I attempted to sign up for the six months of free ink included with my purchase. The first one insisted it needed some update to work properly but refused to install this update. A chat with Amazon’s support people got me nowhere, so they sent me a return label and another printer. The second one never told me if it needed an update because the HP software app wasn’t able to connect to it. Both printers worked fine except for this one issue. I was particularly amused by the second one, where the app I’d just used to connect the printer to WiFi suddenly decided it couldn’t talk to the printer anymore. The laptop the app was installed on could see the printer and print to it, but the app just said “Connecting to printer . . .” for 45 minutes until I shut it down in disgust. At that point, I decided I’d wasted enough time on this and just ordered replacement cartridges on my next Subscribe & Save order. HP can keep their six months of free ink - I didn’t like the sound of it anyway since it’s some sort of subscription deal with a monthly fee on top of buying ink cartridges.
