These are very sturdy. We are quite pleased. It took me forever to try to understand how to get the lids on. However, my husband figured it out very quickly. They have to be taken apart and the band put on first and then the lid. I could not figure out how to separate the lid from the band. Apparently I just was not using enough force. We will be buying more of these. They are very bright and pretty which makes them easy to see in dim light. That's a plus if the power goes out and we need to get into them. The size is perfect. I can put a lot of rice and beans inside and it is not too heavy for my husband to move to our storage area.

I got these to store Mylar bags and food in bulk and they work great. The gamma lid ring is hard to put on so I have to have my husband do it. But once it’s on it’s easy to screw and unscrew the lid. Kinda fun colors too.

Color: Purple Bucket With Aqua Lids
I received these a couple of days ago and got them assembled. Snapping the rings on for the lid to screw into was a little unnerving because you have to whack them pretty hard with a mallet but they snap on pretty securely. I found that if I held the ring down firmly and hit it sharply as close as possible to where I was pressing down it worked best. I had read that it was difficult to twist the lids on unless you sort of pulled up on them. That is true. However, if you lubricate the inside of the top of the ring and the gasket with some vegetable oil, the lids screw on nicely. It does take a little strength to unscrew them but it is quite doable if they are lubricated. I would suggest lubricating them periodically if you plan to get into them often. I know that it's too soon to say how long they will last but they do seem to be pretty solid and of good quality. I will likely purchase more of these in the future.

My microgreens business has been growing and because of the incoming seed orders I placed with suppliers they were arriving in motley bags, pouches, boxes, and other packaging. Because my seed orders have been larger and my house hasn't, I found exactly what I needed to support the dry environment that make seeds last and an accessible opening with the gamma lid. People have mentioned that installing the gamma ring can be challenging. I would like to suggest a way that worked. Place the rim on the floor upside down. Place the bucket down upside roughly inside the rim groove. Wearing gloves push down on the bottom edge of the bucket rocking the bucket from side to side in the groove until you hear a click. Continue pushing/rocking the bucket edge down into the rim groove until most of the rim is on and you have about 5" left to completion. Turn the bucket upright and tamp the last section on gently using a rubber mallet or a metal mallet with a dishtowel covering the edge until the last bit goes into place. I got more torque and no damage to the buckets and finished each bucket in minutes once I did it this way. This is a superb product and I will be buying more. Love the colors too!

Love the colors. If you don’t care that the covers do not fit right. So can not use for many things. If looking just for a cute purple pail this would be great. And you must pay to return your pails that you now have no use for. Enjoy your cute useless bucket. So already over paid for cuteness will be stuck with pails because lovely shipping is very overpriced also. Love the color combination ❣️
