Overall, I really like this skirt. It is stretchy. The fabric has a nice weight to it, like a heavy t-shirt material, so it is soft and smooth. I have gotten compliments that I look "extra cute" on days that I've worn it, so it seems to be working for me. I sit at a desk all day, so I was worried about the knee area of the skirt stretching and looking strange when I stand up, but I haven't noticed an issue with that. The skirt holds it shape surprisingly well for the type of fabric. Sizing... I selected XL based on some of the other reviews, which, I'm still not sure was my best choice. I am in between L and XL for measurements. There is some stretch to this skirt, and, depending on how you wear it, a slightly larger size might be beneficial. For example, I wear shorts under this to keep my thighs from sweating, and I tuck in my shirt to get a more professional look. That adds bulk to my body, so the larger size makes it a little easier to get everything in place, but the skirt kind of bunches on me, too. I don't feel like I am much help on the sizing. Sorry. The front pockets, while I love that there are pockets, they are hard to get to lay flat! They aren't sewn in all around, so I am constantly trying to get them to sit nicely. Despite all that, I want to order another one. Maybe a large this time... It's a great piece for $27 (as of this review).

I’ve worn this skirt a few times now, and I keep reaching for it. The fabric is mostly cotton with just enough stretch to feel soft and flexible without losing shape. It hugs in the right places but doesn’t squeeze. Whether I wear it with flats or heels, it works. I even tried it with sneakers once and didn’t hate it. The back slit is a nice touch. I can walk without doing that stiff pencil skirt shuffle. It hits mid-calf, which feels classy but not too formal. The waist sits comfortably, not too high or low, and I like that there are belt loops even though I don’t always use them. And yes, comes with real pockets. Four of them. I actually put my phone in one and forgot where I left it. That kind of storage in a skirt is a quiet miracle. My wife was mildly interested in this skirt until she saw it had pockets. That immediately elevated it from “oh this looks kinda cute” to “I must have it yesterday!” status. Luckily, the rest of the skirt lives up to the legendary selling points that are pockets. It’s stretchy, comfortably tight, and very slimming. This is a great addition to lots of different outfits, but that’s only in small part because of the fit and look of the skirt itself. I’ve been clearly informed that it’s mostly due to the pockets.

The good: My waist is 38" and hips are 47" so I got a XXL and it fits perfectly. If you're going for a traditional super-form-fitting pencil skirt silhouette you're going to want to size down (or try a different skirt), as this is NOT very closely fitted below the hips, but I like it. The heathered charcoal grey color is nice, it hits mid-calf, and it has front and back pockets. The material is stretchy and soft, making this an extremely comfortable skirt that looks professional. The bad: The material, while soft and stretchy, is not very thick, so you can slightly see the outline of the pockets in front. The main thing I'm dinging this a star for, though, is the messy seams. They either did not bother to iron down the seams below the pockets, or else they ironed them down *in the opposite direction* of how they're ironed when they're going past the pockets, which means that just at the bottom of the pockets there's this weird spot on both sides where the seams don't lay flat and it causes strange little bulges at your hips (and if you're like me, you don't really need anything causing even more bulges there!). I'm including pictures that show this from both the side and front. I'm going to try to re-iron the seams to make them lie flat, but tbh I shouldn't need to iron seams unless I sewed them myself. The front seam (which... I'm not even sure why there *is* a front seam on this skirt but ok) also, weirdly, has issues in the same spot, even though there's no pocket that ends there. Overall, it's annoying that this very easily preventable issue messes up the silhouette on an otherwise lovely skirt, I hope I can iron out the problem.

When I opened it I was skeptical of the thin material but after 1 day at work this is my new favorite pencil skirt. First of all IT HAS BELT LOOP!!!! Which is great dor wearing a belt but more importantly for attaching my swipe badge to me. The material is thin but not see through and not in a way it feels cheap or is going to rip. The material made it very easy for my skin to breathe and stay comfortable all day. It fit perfectly, exactly as expected. The material is very stretchy and forgiving. It's an extremely flattering skirt on my hourglass shape. I'm going to buy it in every color. It's a great versatile piece for any wardrobe.
