This is the exact material that I have been looking for. The pluck-out foam is far too soft and does not shape to fit odd shaped objects. This is much sturdier and you can cut the shapes you need for your items. This foam will protect your valuable items while you transport or store them.

I got this material to make a custom transport case for some equipment. It was easily shaped with a foam cutting knife. I needed to glue pieces together, and used 3M 77 spray adhesive. I bought this to customize some musical instrument cases. This carves easily with a sharp knife, but remains firm when covered by fake-fur glued to the surface. My one complaint is that if you want to mark this so you make accurate cuts, good luck. I tried china markers, chalk, soap, Sharpies, and paint markers, and nothing would show up on the surface of this stuff, and some of these markers started make the surface crumble. I finally had to put masking tape where I wanted the cuts, and cut around the tape. Worked, but was kind of tedious. This stuff is a little firmer than gun-foam, though, which is why I chose it.
