I haven't painted mine yet. I am planning to stretch it to a frame first so it will be more manageable. It has a lot of small areas to paint and will take time to complete. Each area is numbered and the pots are numbered. I doesn't look like you get a lot of excess paint so you essentially want to paint all of each color at one time. Directions recommend doing the larger areas of that color first. You get a folded up printed linen. A bunch of small paint pots. A brush and small photo of the finished product. Pretty much exactly the ad states. I wish they had of rolled up the linen and used a an appropriate box instead of folding it and making me iron it but otherwise the kit looks good. ... show more

Some of the spaces are soooooo small you can’t even see the number. I’m an artist and sometimes you want to sit down and paint without having to have a concept, think about composition or sketching out. It’s like bam! instant paint time… but the devils in the details literally. I had on 2.75 magnification glasses on and I still couldn’t make out some areas. Do it kind of gave me anxiety when I was meant to relieve it, lol. The color pallet and pattern are very forgiving tho and colors are easy to match at a craft shop if you get low. The colors of paint do not match the picture. The blues and greens are distorted in the paint. Picture shows green in the leaves, but the paint is browns and gray. I may paint over using my paint, but this is an intricate picture… unsure if i’ll finish it.

This paint by numbers kit that includes everything you need and everything is of decent quality: the brushes, the paint (which is vacuum-sealed to prevent drying out) and the canvas. I have little to no experience painting and wanted something simple to play around with. The only issue I have is with the linen based canvas. It is not a texture I am familiar with in regards to art projects and this may be intimidating to others as well. Everything also came in a small box, meaning the canvas was folded up which I was disappointed to see, however inevitable as it is a large canvas. I am unsure how to go about removing the fold lines though and hope they smooth out over time. ... show more
