The lights were just as described. The construction is very good. the connecting cotd is very rugged and is a little more bulky (Maybe 3/8" in diameter) than we expected. The remote works well. The length was as described. Things we noted: The white lights (at full intensity) and good and bright. It dims down to a very nice glow; The colored lights (at full intensity) are only about as bright as the white but still dim down to that nice glow; We connected the lights to an outdoor surge protector with a power switch. If the lights are on and you turn off the power (unplug or turn off ( at the surge protector), then turn the lights back on the same way, the lights come back on at the last setting you used, Nice feature and no need for the remote. Of course, the remotes work well if you just want to use that; There are included instructions as to what the replacement bulb is. I have not taken the time to research how easy they are to get. These look great and complete the look I wanted on my patio. But, I often go outside and find that they turned on by themselves. Not sure what frequency they are working on but something is triggering them. I also have a couple of sets linked and sometimes it may just be one set that is on. I may have to point the controller at each set individually to turn them off, I may not. ... show more

Nice set of lights. I bought a RGB set a year ago from Honeywell and they lasted the entire fall through spring outside without any issues. I have high hopes these will too. I only wish these came with some sort of a switch to turn them on/off. I've got them strung around my grill canopy for some accent lights. I doubt these will be bright enough to really grill with at night. Once my outdoor project is finished that include these lights, I will update and post pictures.
