I really am not going to be able to tell which are the original bobbins and which are the Honeysew. I'm sure that's a good thing. They fit perfectly, and have the rough surface so the thread stays put when you start a bobbin.

    • They work okay. Right size, but threading them is a pain.
They fit my Bernina 1230 just fine, and they do have knurled barrels as expected and in the product images. The biggest downside, which does make the harder to use, is they DONT have the shallow groove cut into them for the bobbin winder to catch. Meaning if the winder has pretty much ANY resistance, it'll just free spin inside the bobbin, instead of turning the bobbin itself. I've managed to make them work, and I can't speak for if it's better on a standalone bobbin winder, buts it's definitely a setback when using them. ... show more

    • Bobbins look almost exactly like original ones
I ordered my bobbins for my Bernina aurora 440 QE on Sunday & received them on Tuesday (2 days!) I marked the original one & compared them. They look exactly the same. The ridges on the original bobbin are just a little more course where the thread is wound but, other than that the same size, same holes. I am excited to fill them & use them. I was apprehensive ordering these, as reviews varied greatly from fantastic to awful. I normally pay $2 each for genuine bobbins for my Bernina 330. I like to buy a bunch of bobbins at once; sometimes the store doesn't have them (or not as many as I want) in stock and I have to go back, and then I have to remember their business hours (sometimes they are not open when I am able to go). So I figured for this price, even if some of them are defective, I am still coming out ahead. With prime these were delivered to me in 2 days, and all 20 bobbins appear to be identical to my genuine Bernina bobbins. I have not needed to use all 20 of them in my machine, but the ones I've used thus far have worked well. I now don't need to worry about not having a bobbin at the ready when I need one. ... show more
