I purchased this costume for a colonial day event at my son's school. I followed the measuring chart on the item description and ordered a size 7-9 for my 10 year old son. The costume fit him a little snug, but the shirt was way too short. I would recommend sizing up. The material is a thin polyester just like all costume materials. The package came with the beard missing which my son was very disappointed because we purchased this costume because the beard was supposed to be included. My 9 year old son dressed up as Abe for his speech at the school history fair. Good fit, materials are pretty good quality (did not fall apart in the washing machine). The hat stayed up. And the beard was not uncomfortable.

My son is obsessed with Abraham Lincoln! Was soon as we found out that he was having to to a project on a historical figure, i knew exactly who he would choose. This costume is awesome! I bought the sz 7-9 for my tall 7 year old and the fit was perfect. He wears a size 8 in jeans/pants and medium (8) in shirts at Gap for reference. Everything is included: hat, shirt/jacket/tie, pants and beard. My son wore long johns underneath. Highly recommend!

My son needed to dress up as Abraham Lincoln for school project. This gave us exactly what we were looking for. It’s not the highest quality, but we only needed it for a day. I will say the hatIs flimsy and wants to fall. It doesn’t stay up very well.

The “white shirt” was sewn correctly on one side so you could put your arm through behind the “shirt”. On the other side it was sewn so that your arm had to go IN FRONT of the shirt to go through the jacket. Ridiculous.

    • Perfect costume for school project
I bought this for my 8 y.o. School project presentation. It was perfect for what it was used for. My son is slender and average height and a large was a perfect fit. If he was an bigger, the Velcro might not stick. The hat did have a minor hole at the seams but it was fine and not noticeable.
