Love this shelf! It’s larger than most other shelves on the market. And I’m thankful I chose this one. The shelves themselves are a man made light weight material. They seem like they will hold up to everyday use. It was very easy to assemble.

We recently moved out of a home with built in book shelves in the living room, so I found myself needing to add to my furniture collection. While this shelf was a little pricier than I would normally buy, I wanted to make sure I got something that was high quality - durable, yet aesthetically pleasing. Most importantly, it needed to match the other furniture my partner had picked out for the living room. I got all of that with this shelf. The photos are really accurate, so the piece fits in nicely with the rest of the things in the room. The shelf is very sturdy, especially if you use the included wall brackets as recommended by the manufacturer. As chief engineer in our house, I found assembly to be very easy as long as you follow the instructions and wait until the end to tighten all of the bolts. From start to finish, I don't think it took me more than half an hour to put it together, only needing assistance from my partner to lift the box and move the assembled shelf into place. There's plenty of room for all of my books, plus a few other knick-knacks and curiosities. Keep in mind, though, that you will likely need book ends or other heavy objects to keep your paperbacks from tipping over. My absent minded self didn't consider this, but I ended up being able to improvise with some larger pieces from my rock collection and a couple small plants. ... show more
