Very pleased with this kitchen island & chairs set although one of the sides was cracked on the inside & the wood top had a pock mark/hole about the size of a pea. Otherwise, we love it! It took 2 if us about 7 hours to put together.

The was well worth the money. It looks great in my kitchen. I decorate cakes so I turned mine around where I could watch TV while I work. It also has a great amount of table top space. It is sturdy and the chairs feel really solid!!! It is a yellow color but when I got it in my dark house it looked off white!! Love love love it!!! ... show more

High-quality, heavy-duty piece of furniture. Two pieces arrived broken in shipment. C/S took care of it right away and shipped both pieces to us. Assembling was a Project, rewarding to get it all done. Looks great.

    • Looks nice but seems a little overpriced.
I'll start by saying I deliver furniture and appliances for a local store so I assemble a lot of items like this so I'm very used to how furniture is packaged and how it gets put together. This makes a difference. The island came in 5 heavy boxes that the ups guy was obviously not excited to bring lol. Getting them all inside by myself was interesting and I recommend not doing this alone. (Make sure you have PLENTY of space inside to unpackage everything.) I started by unboxing everything but the stools as to not mix the parts. It was all pretty standard packaging for furniture (lots of Styrofoam and tape) and a good portion of the time spent on this project was unboxing. Assembly was pretty straight forward for me and it took about 2.5 hours by myself. If you are not used to doing this you can expect to spend a little more. The directions were pretty good so be sure to follow those. After it was all together and leveled it looked pretty good. Some parts seemed "inexpensive" but still worked. There were no missing parts and the finished product is sturdy. But...for the price though I expected a little more... (Low quality glides for the drawers, and there were cheap feeling magnets and hinges for the cabinet doors, etc) The included hardware was equivalent to what you would find on a $100 cabinet made of particle board. The top however is thick and heavy and is on point for this caliber of furniture. I would recommend but I would be prepared to replace or upgrade some of the hardware in a few years. ... show more

I had researched islands with breakfast bars for a while and completely fell in love with the black version of this island. Unfortunately when I placed my order it was canceled by the seller because they were out of stock. After looking at a lot of other designs we decided to take a chance on the white version. It arrived a day early and even though I was home the delivery guy strangly put it in my garage without telling me. I guess that will teach me to leave the garage door open. One of the boxes was really heavy, but the others weren't too bad. When I opened the boxes I was a little scared at first because I wasn't sure if it would look high quality after it was together. The directions aren't very clear and we ended up with a bunch of parts that weren't listed in the instructions so it was absolutely necessary to have a second person or I may have gone crazy. Some of the pieces that were already together weren't together right so I had to take them apart and put them back together, but it was an easy fix. The directions also aren't in a very good order and so if you follow them exactly you will have to take some things apart after you are finished just to get to another step. With all of the piecing together it took nearly two hours to build, but the end result was really great. It looks amazing in my kitchen and the white looks fantastic. Great island for prep and storage. Had a few issues and some damaged parts. Contacted customer service, they resolved the issues and had the replacement parts delivered within a couple of days. Best customer service I’ve dealt with in years.

First off i never write reviews because i don't have the time but this had my blood boiling so i have to get it off my chest.. LIKE: Packaged well and good instructions. Product material decent for the price. DISLIKE: Some items had minor damage and one of the doors has holes in the exposed end from where they originally were trying to mount the hinge!! BUT the most frustrating part was the 2 end pieces not lining up with the holes for the mounting bolts... I literally had to elongate the holes (12 total) with a dremel to make it work!! VERY FRUSTRATING and ADDED a lot of extra time to the assembly. Obviously the template they used was not accurate that day! (about 1/2 inch off) Be prepared to have a handy man or woman around while assembling. IF it wasn't for those issues, I would recommend the product. ... show more

    • A beautiful,sturdy and very useful kitchen island!
This is a beautiful island as I am using it in my kitchen. It is very sturdy. The wood top has to be protected with placemats,pot holder but it is so beautiful I don't want the wood top to be changed. I lined the drawers with Con-Tact paper to protect them. It is very useful it had plenty of room for my serving dishes,mixing bowls, silverware and some of my pots and pans. Most importantly it makes my kitchen more inviting and had provided a lovely area for my family to gather. It was fairly easy to put together. I put it together by myself and balanced it on the boxes it came to fastened the island together with the screws. ... show more
