If there was a rating less than 1, I would give it. This "book" is only about 15 pages of actual text in what looks like 120 point text at a 6th grade reading level. It's basically an advertisement for various brands. I bought this because it said it describes acoustics. I have attached the entirety of the advice on acoustics, which is basically to consult a professional (i.e., Auralex) and isn't even grammatically correct. I would describe this more as a pamphlet that you can get for free at any decent electronics store. The fact that John Johnson and Stephen Barkley are making money off this thing is a real shame. I love messing around with setting up my home theater and I know basics. I wanted to learn more of the terminology and things that can optimize your set up and I thought this “book” might help but it was the greatest disappointment that I ever head on purchasing from Amazon. It is a 16 page article-like book of the very generalized basics of requirements to set up an entertainment center. I could’ve written a master piece with what I know and sell it through Amazon. I will be fighting to get my money back. I rated one star just so I could continue to “submit “ but it deserved at least minus 5 stars ... show more
