My 3 year old and I do alot of crafting so I needed up upgrade our space to allow us to work side by side. Assembly was pretty easy, but time consuming (1.30hours). Everything went together easily. I will say that some parts had minor flaws (small chip, part not perfectly aligned) but these things you wouldn't notice unless you nitpicked. I also put one tie in the middle to make the bars more flush. You can also see the thickness of material here, in the listing it seems very thin when it's actually not. This desk is very sturdy, and very appealing. It was also very easy to install a pegboard to the back for our supplies. Truly it's just perfect. Especially since the nearest comparison by tribaldesigns is 250 and this is priced at 145. Really really happy I saved money and received an excellent desk! ... show more

I have to admit that I was skeptical about buying this product. I have always used the bigger wooden hutch desks because they last a very long time. This was the closest item that was available at the time, even though I only needed one desk. This item came as a 2-pack desk. I am so very glad that I did purchase this model. The picture doesn't do it justice compared to seeing in person. Definately worth every penny. You will not be disappointed with this desk. You can place them side by side or apart. It comes with 4 bolts to connect them together if you want to use them side by side. I elected not to put the bolts in. These desks are so sturdy there is no need. (Hint: You can also use plastic tie down straps instead of the bolts and when you get ready to move them just cut the straps off!) It only took me about 1 hour to put them together by myself. You only need a Philips head screwdriver to assemble and the instructions are very easy! I also went to Lowes and purchased 2 sheets of clear polycarbonate plastic and cut them to fit each desk for the top because I didn't want to scratch the surface. ... show more

I bought this for me and my boyfriend. We liked the idea of sitting side by side while gaming or just using the computer in general as we're frequently on it. The desk was easy to assemble, took a few hours. When the desks aren't attached they are a tad wobbly by themselves. Once they're secured together the setup is pretty solid. The overall appearance of the desk is really nice, it looks like it's worth way more than it actually is. I've received many compliments by family when they've seen it. There's plenty of space for each person on their side of the desk for whatever they want. The top shelf is a nice feature too and deep enough to fit many kinds of things. A good setup for two people. Assembly is doable with only one person. Two can make easier. These desks are sturdy enough. Could add some crossbeam supports to add structure and reduce "wiggle room", but it's pretty minimal. The top shelf can be limiting, depending on your size of monitor. We both use big 32" that had to be taken off of their stock stands and fitted with another monitor stand off of Amazon. After that, they fit perfectly. But for normal monitor sizes, there should be no issues in fitting it beneath the shelf. Overall, the quality is decent for a decent price. I'd buy it again if I had to. ... show more

This product is very well made and easy to assemble. The instructions are easy to follow and took approximately 45 minutes to put together. The wood has a beautiful finish and the desk top is spacious. We had an issue with shipping, but the seller handled the issue and made sure we received all the pieces. Obviously, this takes a bit of time to assemble. That is expected. Once together, this thing looks great. Exactly like the photo provided on Amazon. It is very strong, not even close to flimsy. I've stood on it to change light bulbs on the fan above. I don't recommend doing this but it shows how sturdy it is. We have a large ATX PC on the left side that fits perfectly in the slot. A mid PC is on the left with PLENTY of space. A 32" montior arm mounted on left, and a 27" arm mounted on the right. Have a couple of consoles on the desk too.
