This table shocked me it took less than if 30 minutes or more because I had to remove the paper gently but it was put together I am so shocked this table was so easy to put together just follow the very easy instructions to assemble this together it seems very sturdy I have not got my bar stools yet but I am quite impressed it did have one cut in it not worried about it because I'll be putting a tablecloth on it but I'm quite impressed the table didn't have the paper all the way around it it actually was off of it so that's probably how it got damaged but overall it's a very nice table it's not real leather it's a special material that looks like leather that is protecting I don't know wood or whatever underneath but the table is very pretty up and it does lift up and down which I love will look great beside my window looking at my view thank you I recommend this table ... show more

    • Nice table, but a bit small
I needed a small table in my dinette area in my small apartment and enough room for 2 to eat and this table should do the job. It's a bit smaller than I needed, but I did put a board I had from my prior dinette table on top of it and put a bit of velcro to keep that table top secured to this new table and it seems to be doing the job quite well. Very nice table and it adjusts up and down and does swivel. You cannot stop the table from swiveling however. Nice chrome base and pole holding this table up and looks great. Just wished the top of this round table was maybe six more inches larger, but this table will do the job. It will work in a dinette area or small dining room....but not a larger dining room.     • Remove the black cap of the hydraulic system before assembly!!
just got the table and it is a great size and very sturdy relative to other tables I have had like this one. the trick to making the raising/lowering mechanism to work is to remove the black cap on the end of the unit to expose the orange top. I figured this out after assembly, but easily removed the screws and tapped out the black cap. then it worked properly. The only thing that kept it from getting 5 stars is the amount of effort it takes to push the table down once it has been raised. I did it but not without some force. But don't think I will be raising or lowering it all that often. ... show more

    • Needs better assembly instructions
I love this product, especially for the price. It only loses a star because the instructions (or lack thereof) are horrible. As others have said, the trick to getting the hydraulic functionality to work is to remove the "black cap" from the middle portion of the assembly. By middle portion of the assembly, I mean the portion that is a metal cylinder, with a lever. Before screwing the tabletop to this middle portion of the assembly, and then placing the middle portion over the base, you need to knock out the 'black cap'. You can smack the L wrench included in the set against it, and it should pop out. ... show more

    • Terrible Instructions
The instructions looked like it would be simple, but once you started assembling they lacked in steps! The table itself seems to be sturdy enough however, I wouldn't trust something of great value to be placed on top. Overall for what I needed the table is fine.

I used for a tabletop Christmas tree. I decorated low and was able to level up. The height allowed me to set up my round the tree train set and gifts underneath.
