Update Dec22: After the fly away I contacted Holy Stone customer service and chatted with Frank. After a few standard questions about the drone and flying conditions, Frank determined that the drone was at fault and covered by warranty. A new drone has been sent, no problem at all Great customer service. I will update again when the new drone arrives. I just got this yesterday. Strictly followed all instructions in the manual. Tried to fly inside but the drone drifted so heavily to the left that there was no time to calibrate it before it hit a wall. Tried and tried, but it would hit a wall before it could be calibrated for drift. Always slow speed, never used fast. Took it outside this morning, perfect weather, no wind. Again tired to calibrate for leftward drift but it just kept drifting. Would also randomly lunge forward are back, sometimes diagonal. Finally it ended up flying off out of the yard, across the trees and out of range. Never to be seen again. What a waste of money. I have a bigger DJI drone that works just fine, of course. I bought the Holy Stone as a fun little drone to fly inside and practice with. But it made a very fast escape, deciding to disappear like a stray dog once it got outside. . I barely got to fly it - maybe 3 minutes of struggling with it. Be very careful! If yours has a strong drift in any direction, DON'T take it outside.     • Perfect "Step-Up" For New Pilots
I'm a new pilot and began with the HS210, which is a great "first drone" for learning the basics. I chose the HS430 as a step up because of its design that is so similar to more up-scale drones that I plan to move on to. The modular batteries of the HS430 are so much easier to attach and swap out than those of the HS210. The HS430 is also accomodating in that it can be flown indoors. That's especially important to me when the weather outside otherwise prohibits flying. Best of all, it is fully capable of outdoor flight when the weather is calm. Updated review! I contacted HolyStone to see if there was a way to track it's last course and unfortunately not BUT their awesome customer service did prevail. Totally unexpected and not asked for, they are sending a replacement drone. It's a great product, pretty easy to fly, up until a tiny bit of wind takes over and then you lose any control of the drone. You won't get it back and then once it loses wifi you can't see it. ... show more

    • Battery life is a bit short.
The really only thing I wasn't happy about is that the battery life is short. Thankfully there are 2 batteries & they charge fairly quickly. But, to that fact, there is only 1 charger. It's a cool little drone & my son loves it.

Outstanding stability, perfect for first time flyers. The trims were preset, no adjustment was required on first flight. Simple set up. All functions worked correctly on the HS430. Outdoors flying was no problem in spite of a mild breeze. The camera worked also well, the quality of the picture is acceptable. This drone got good reviews on You Tube so I ordered one. I was truly impressed with the quality. The drone is sturdy. The controller is a nice size and well thought out. The battery is easy to insert and remove. The instructions were easy to follow. The drone flies extremely well indoors and outside.
