The cushioning is soft, lightweight and supportive, which really helps with foot, knee, and back pain. Even with swelling, the roomy fit stays comfortable all day. The arch support is excellent, and they keep me feeling balanced and light on my feet. I am not a sneaker wearer. My orthopedic doctor recommended these when I injured my meniscus. I wore Hoka's everday for nine months along with a knee brace and it they were a major part of my successful non surgical rehab. These shoes are comfortable and have a lot of support. Based on some of the reviews I read, I thought it might be wise to get a half size larger and the wide version. I normally wear a size 8. I purchased an 8.5W. This turned out to be the perfect size for me. The area around the toes was wide enough, and I had just enough space above the toes, so they wouldn’t feel cramped. I just got these Hoka Bondi 8s (women’s size 7) today and already can tell they’re a much better fit than the Clifton 9s for my plantar fasciitis and bunion-laden feet. I mostly walk and do some light running, and the difference is amazing… the cushioning, roomy enough toe box, and heel/back-of-foot comfort are all spot on. I even played a heated game of badminton in the backyard and had no knee pain afterward, which is huge for me. Of course, I’ll update if anything changes with more wear, but for now I highly recommend them for anyone needing comfort and support! ... show more
