It has a roll off to the toe, and a slight roll back to the heel, I guess making it somewhat impossible for a heel strike. It also has a thick pad under outside of foot palm, great if you suponate. Only reason its not a 5, is because it's typical running shoe colors. The black doesn't come in wide, and it's always sold out. So you may have to resort to dieing or painting these. I usually wear Hoka Graviatos, but switched to the Speedgoat this time. Speedgoats are much better for trails and off-road trekking. Love them!

New speed goat design runs much smaller than old model and has more narrow tow box. Order at least half a size larger than your regular shoe size.
