This is the holy grail of planners! The Hobonichi contains EVERY element one could want or need for a planner. It’s perfect. It covers all the bases. Annual, monthly, weekly, and daily planners with plenty of room for note taking, graphing, lists, and drawings. The grid design is elegant and allows for a crisp multi-use canvas to both craft and record your daily life. The paper is like silk and is absolutely gorgeous to handle. Color coded months with visual tabs. Lunar cycles. Absolutely beautiful! The binding is a 180 lay flat design that is sewn. I could not ask for more. This is it! If you want a comprehensive planner that can do it all, look no further. The Hobonichi is the grandmaster. I am in love! I will never look back after purchasing this. It truly is perfection. And this comes from a woman who has used a multitude of different planners my whole life— more than 30 years (since college). I have used bullet journals, and happy planners, wasting planner page space over the past couple of years. I discovered the Hobonichi planner, and found it to be a great life journaling tool for daily, weekly, and monthly planning. The paper is wonderful and great for mixed media art journaling as well. I have used acrylic paints, watercolor, mildliner highlighter, gel inks with only shadowing and no bleed through. Using stickers or your own artwork, it can be customizable. Hint: Do not purchase at full price! Purchase on Amazon Prime days!

This was such a perfect pick for using as a journal. The papers thin, but it works really well. The size is perfect for a journal spread, or just for jotting down things you need to remember. I love that it has a monthly spread, weekly spread, and daily spreads. It makes going throughout my days so simple. I can schedule everything at an easy glance. I will definitely continue to get these each year. It’s the best planner/journal I’ve ever used. Make sure to pick yourself up one! I also think it’s great price for what you get!

The perfect planner for me. This is my fifth or sixth purchase, now getting ready for 2026. The ultra thin paper resists bleed through and the page design gives the perfect space for to-dos, schedule and daily notes. This planner is expensive but well worth the cost. It holds up to a lot of mileage and abuse (see below for how it was mishandled before I even received it). The combination of calendars makes it easy to use regardless of your planning style-monthly, weekly and daily sections are perfect. Totally unrelated to the product and the seller, Amazon Fulfillment once again destroyed the experience! The planner was horribly packaged in an unpadded mailer, then handed off to the US Postal Service who bend the book in half. The entire package would fit in my mailbox without USPS mutilating the book. They ruined the book. I’ll certainly keep buying the planner but need to start phasing out Amazon due to their declining quality and poor customer experience… #amazonfail #uspsvictim
