These shoes look great! They seem to have a lot of padding and, in my opinion, a little too much. I had to remove the insole to give my feet a little more room inside because the side walls of the toes are so thick. If you don't have wide feet like I do, you might like that extra padding, but when I had my foot in there with the insoles the upper sides of the shoes bulged out and looked a little silly to me. Removing the insoles helped though. Unfortunately, these shoes seem to run a half-size too small. I wear a size 13 and I've purchased barefoot, zero drop, wide toe box shoes from Xero Shoes, Lems, and (Amazon's?) WHITIN. Size 13 has worked for all of those brands, but not the HOBIBEAR. I'm sure certain shaped feet would love these and I may be in the minority for feet these don't work for. The quality and build look good and I'm sure they would last a while and feel quite comfortable for a slightly thinner foot!

I’ve had previous experiences where Hobibear shoes didn’t fit true to size, but I’m happy to report that these were a perfect fit for my stepdad! He has wide feet, and the width was just right for him. The shoes look stylish in person, and it’s great that he can wear them for both dressy and casual occasions. Another major plus was the comfort – he said they were really comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Overall, my 62-year-old stepdad absolutely raves about them, and seeing how happy he is, I would definitely recommend these shoes!

Oh man, I wanted these to work. I really wanted them to! They’re cute shoes, and they look good on my feet. There are several problems right off the bat that I have to note here. For starters, they run HUGE. I’m not even talking about the width here — I mean they’re gigantic in the length. I wear a true 7.5, and even an occasional 8 in shoes that run a bit smaller or narrower. I ordered & received a size 7.5, and my toes were still a good 1.5-2” from the end of the shoe. When I lifted my big toes, I could see the tops of them in the mesh part of the shoe. I tied them as tightly as I could get them and still be comfortable, and I was walking out of them, barefoot. In socks which are more slippery, I’d have walked right out. They’re not that comfortable, either. Yes, the toe box is wide. But it’s like, WIDE wide. So wide they look kind of strange. You can fully splay your toes out and still have a lot of room in the toe box. So, they’re great if you have bunions (which I do) or toe issues. But it still felt like too much room. The insoles are also not very comfortable. They don’t have great arch support, and the arch they did have felt like it wasn’t placed properly for my foot; it likely wasn’t because of how large they ran on me. This issue would possibly be remedied if you were wearing the correct size for your foot. I also have plantar fasciitis, and am currently experiencing a pretty bad flare, so it’s actually a great time for me to try shoes to see if they eliminate or worsen my pain. These sneakers did nothing to alleviate it, and after walking around just the inside of my home testing them, they actually exacerbated my plantar fasciitis. Limping in shoes that are supposed to be pain-relieving isn’t a good look. I really hate it because I was so hopeful, but these just weren’t for me.

I really love these shoes. I have very wide feet and have dealt with bunions and plantar fasciitis for years, so finding shoes that don’t hurt is always a challenge. These were a great surprise. The wide toe box is the real winner here. And when I say wide, I mean actually wide — my toes finally aren’t squished. Since these are barefoot/minimalist shoes, there isn’t a lot of arch support or cushy memory foam, but that hasn’t been a problem for me. I wore them all day at work and walked around a lot, and my feet felt totally fine by the end of the day. They are super flexible and lightweight and just feel comfortable to wear, even for long stretches. A couple small downsides: they took a while to arrive (more than a month - not sure if this is typical or not), and I wish there were more color options. Style-wise, I’d say they’re cute but not amazing — maybe a 4/5. I actually like how they look, but they do make my feet look kind of big. That said, I’ll take comfort over cuteness any day. If you have really wide feet or deal with foot pain, these are definitely worth trying.

I just love these shoes, they are so cute! They fit well and are very roomy in the toebox area. I have several pairs of Hobibear shoes and I’m always super happy with the product. I wear a size 9 and have come to find that the leather Hobiears run just a tad bit smaller than the canvas or mesh style Hobibear shoes. If they had offered these in half sizes, I would have sized up to a 9 1/2 instead of the 9 just to give me a little more room at the top of my toe where the shoe sits over the big toenail. But they still feel great either way. I like these for walking and for the gym, they look really cute with some yoga pants and a hoodie. And as always, the quality is good at a great price! Super happy with this pair of shoes. And I’m always happy to recommend this brand for anybody looking for a barefoot style type shoe.
