Great value. I expected them to be WAY more lightweight, not that they're heavily weighed down either. They kind of have that freshly starched thing going on but not stiff definitely not wrinkly. Can't put my finger on the material to reference. No weird smells out of the bag, I just put them up no prewash. They are well hemmed, in fact doublely so on one end. So if ya wanted you could have the an inch or two of that frilly look atop the rod or not, dependent on rod diameter I guess.(I realize this is not a great description of what I mean, hopefully it's imaginative enough.) My rod was a 3/4 inch, fit just well enough to to slide/scoot the curtains and have that pleated frill on top due to that extra hem. They flow nice when a breeze blows by. The embroidery is of quality also. I got the green floral pattern for the kitchen. HUGE upgrade from the annoying vertical blinds that most definitely did not gracefully blow in the breeze. I'm in an apartment where my adjacent downstairs and upstairs neighbor's windows are in clear view into mine, constantly feel like I am being watched. I'm probably not, but the anxiety while doing the dishes with the window open was something else. LoL. Now I can see outside without feeling like I'm on display. From outside they look super cute too, I had my guy stand in the kitchen while I went out to play peeping Tom, I could see there was someone there, but he could probably pick his nose and I couldn't tell what he was doing in the daytime anyway, nighttime if its light inside he'd be a bit of a blurry nose picker. These are perfect for my windows. They were reasonably priced, arrived in good time and good condition, and look wonderful. Paired with full curtains, they help filter a good amount of light into the room so you don't need electricity, but keep it from just being an open window. When I get home from work, I struggle to see the dogs through them, even knowing they're there, so it gives a good amount of privacy during the daytime (light on outside, if it is lighter in your room than outside it, this all works the opposite way, like with all sheers). ... show more
