Went for a 4.6 mile hike in mid-40°F temps that included briefly going through some small streams (no deeper than 2"). My feet stayed warm and dry, as well as comfortable. My only complaint is they are slightly larger than expected. I either wear an 8 or 8.5; I ordered an 8 but they feel closer to a 9 so I'm really glad I didn't order up. They aren't too big, but definitely fit larger than expected. I'm pleased than my feet didn't get sore "breaking them in."

I am typically a size 7.5-8 but always wear an 8-8.5 in boots to make room for socks. I got these boots in a size 8. While they were extremely comfortable when I put them on, there was excess room in the toe box. My foot ended up sliding around too much that I was concerned about blisters and stability while hiking on rugged terrain. They are beautiful, well made, lightweight boots. But I do think the sizing is tricky.

Picked these up for my wife to try out, she's been wearing them for about a week now and is commenting favorably on their comfort and fit. We ordered on-size for her, and the boots fit her well, so definitely a thumbs-up on sizing. They are a bit sweaty, not particularly breathable, so perhaps a better cold-weather boot than a summer. Overall, the quality seems quite reasonable for the price, I would compare these to a set of hiking boots from WalMart - which is to say they're functional, if a bit cheap looking. Don't expect high-end stuff for way under a bill, but if you want a decent set of inexpensive hikers, these might do the job fine. We'll have to see how they hold up over time, I'll try to update this in six months or a year with a follow-up on how they've held together in use.

One of the first things that I noticed about these women’s hiking boots from HISEA is that they are made from “recycled leather.” What that means (I assume) is that someone else cuts up and uses large pieces of leather and leaves relatively small bits of leather that that can’t use. This company gets those pieces of leather and makes them into these boots. Hurrah for them! Combining that with a breathable mesh fabric for the rest of the uppers, you get a durable and comfortable boot. The inside of the boot is cushioned with a memory foam insole that cups your foot and helps prevent it from sliding around. The top around the ankle and the tongue are also cushioned well. My wife (they’re her boots) says that they are easy to slip on and off (easy as boots go, that is), and that the ties are designed to snug up nicely. She ordered the size 8, which is her normal size, and they fit well. The back loop on the boot is large enough to put your finger through to help pull on the boot, which is a very good thing (I have no idea why sometimes that loop is so small it’s not even grabble by your fingers!). The soles of the boot are flexible enough (for a boot), and they definitely protect your feet from irregular ground and sharp objects. The soles are designed to grip the ground no matter the surface. The boots are quite light, which made me wonder if they would perform up to grade. According to my wife (who’s used them several times) they do. She likes them, which is enough of a recommendation for me to pass it on to you!

When I first brought the boot out of the box, I thought that the wrong size had been sent...it seemed huge! And you can see in the photo the difference in my foot to the boot. I put on a heavier sock and slipped my foot into the boot and wow...it fit perfectly. And, with all the padding on the side, my foot was super comfortable...nothing was rubbing in the wrong place and my foot just felt protected and snug. I wear either a 7.5 to and 8 and this was a size 8...and it fit just right. Now I just wish I had a long mountain to hike up to really give them a workout...but, will have to wait until next winter...and to see how waterproof they are. Was also worried about the water proofing, thinking that the material might feel cheap but, the outside feels very nice...a really good solid boot!

I’ve been needing a new pair of hiking boots. These looked so cute & I was nervous as I don’t normally buy shoes online without trying them on. I normally wear a size 7.5, but I ordered an 8 because I usually wear thick socks when I hike, sometimes doubling them up if it’s cold & I’m camping. I’d say go your normal size if you’re planning on wearing “normal” thickness socks. I love the way they fit me with my thick hiking socks, but I could have easily went with my 7.5 no problem. Functionality is great. They grip well outside. I went on a 2 hour hike and was very pleased & my feet did not hurt afterwards. The only thing I ever spend money on (Aka don’t cheap out on) are my shoes because there isn’t much worse than aching sore feet. Overall I’m extremely pleased & I absolutely love the look. BTW: I looked into the 100% KEEP DRY & WARM WITH A 100-YEAR WARRANTY “guarantee”- its legit & company reviews are 4.4 on facebook. Already registered my product. Very cool.

DESCRIPTION: This is a pair of size 9.5 women's hiking boots. My wife assisted and contributed to this review. ———————— The boots are very lightweight, and perfect for those outdoor conditions which are too wet for sneakers and not severe enough for winter boots. Seams are all tight and well-made. The boots run true to size. The tread is about 3/16" (about 5mm) deep, which is deep enough for good grip and traction, but not so deep as to trap stones. There is a convenient pull strap at the heel. The upper two closures are hooks, not loops, which allows various lacing patterns as needed. ———————— HOW I USED THEM: These will be used for periodic recreational hiking on maintained park trails, as well as on wet spring yard surfaces.
